Battlefield 6 Deep Six: Every Reward and How to Unlock It

Deep Six is the Battlefield 6 Collection Event that came with Season 4: Tidal Strike. It runs from September 15 to October 12, 2026 across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. You progress by completing contracts and gathering intel devices, and the rewards are Weapon Packages, customization items and, for finishing the whole collection, the Royal Navy Dive Knife, a new melee weapon.

Deep Six Collection Event dates: September 15 to October 12

EA’s Game Update 1.4.3.0 notes say Tidal Strike content, Deep Six included, went live at 12:00 UTC on Tuesday, September 15, after the patch itself became downloadable at 08:00 UTC. The end date is given as October 12 with no hour, so it is not converted below.

Two things overlap the first week. A Battlefield 6 Free Trial runs September 15 to 22 with access to the Deep Six Event Playlist, Casual Breakthrough and Verified Portal experiences across Wake Island, Tsuru Reef, Cairo Bazaar and Hagental Base, and EA’s Tidal Strike event guide says the trial runs alongside a Double XP Weekend for all players.

How Deep Six works: contracts and intel devices

A Collection Event tracks a set of rewards you fill in over time rather than a linear pass. EA describes two ways to progress Deep Six: completing contracts and gathering intel devices, both in Battlefield 6 and in REDSEC. “Every completed challenge contributes toward your collection”, in the guide’s words, and the dedicated Deep Six Event Playlist runs Conquest and Escalation matches tied to the event.

EA’s advice for the event comes down to four habits: clear contracts as they appear rather than letting them sit, play in a squad because shared objectives bank progress faster, watch for intel devices in both games rather than only in the event playlist, and rotate playlists, since some event opportunities only turn up outside the obvious modes.

EA has not published the number of contracts, how often they refresh, or how many intel devices exist. Deep Six runs on the same contract framework REDSEC already uses, which the 1.4.3.0 notes touch on twice: a progress-display fix, and a rename of the “Contract Failed” message to “Contract Expired”. Deep Six rewards: Weapon Packages and the Diver’s Knife

EA lists three reward types: premium Weapon Packages, Customization Rewards, and the knife. EA uses two names for that knife in the same documents, “Diver’s Knife” as the weapon’s heading and “Royal Navy Dive Knife” in the description, so expect to see both. It is “originally carried by Royal Navy divers operating in challenging maritime environments” and is “the ultimate reward for players who complete the full Collection Event”. It is a new melee weapon, not a skin for the existing knife.

Which weapons the Weapon Packages are for, and how many items make up the collection, are not in either EA post. Check the Event tab in-game for the grid; this guide will be updated if EA publishes the list.

Deep Six contract bug: fixed on September 16

If you started the event in its first two days, check your contracts. EA’s known-issues roundup of September 16 confirms two Deep Six problems and says both are resolved: “We have identified and resolved an issue with the Deep Six Collection event contracts. We have rolled out this fix, and players should now receive contracts at the intended level.” The second was cosmetic, an event information screen that reappeared on every visit to the event tab and should now show only once.

The same roundup notes that Proximity Chat, which launched with Tidal Strike, has been disabled while EA investigates a problem with it. That does not affect Deep Six progress, but it is why the feature may be missing from your matches.

What else Tidal Strike added

Two other things launched with the update. The Phantom Program is a limited-time REDSEC operation hunting access-code fragments across Fort Lyndon, with its own XP and Weapon Package rewards. Top Gun’s Carrier Strike and Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep modes were extended through Season 4, although the Ace Medal event itself closed on September 15 at 12:00 UTC, so those medals can no longer be earned.
