Fortnite Slender Man Skin: Cup Rewards and Expected Release

There are two ways to get the Fortnite Slender Man skin. Place high enough in the Slender Man Cup to win the outfit and back bling for free (October 20 in North America; other regions should check the in-game Compete tab), or buy it in the Item Shop, where VICE expects it on October 22. Epic has not announced the date or price.

The Slender Man set was added to the game files on October 19, and Epic’s Fortnitemares 2026 announcement lists Slender Man among the collabs arriving through October. If you are planning to buy the set, top up through our Fortnite V-Bucks page before the shop resets.

Fortnite Slender Man release dates

Epic’s rules say “final times and dates for the Event Sessions are listed in-game”, so check the Compete tab for the session times in your region. The Item Shop date has not been announced by Epic. VICE reported it on October 19 based on dataminer findings, and it follows the usual 5 PM PT / 00:00 UTC shop reset.

What is in the Slender Man set

Four cosmetics carry the Slender Man set name in the October 19 game files, according to the Fortnite-API cosmetics database:

• The Slender Man: Epic outfit, “Be careful in the forest.”
• Tentacles of the Slender Man: Rare back bling
• Slender Tendrils: Rare pickaxe
• The Slender Man Was Here: Uncommon spray

The cup gives away the outfit, back bling and spray. The pickaxe is not listed among the cup prizes in Epic’s rules, and whether it will be sold in the Item Shop is expected but not yet confirmed.

How to get Slender Man free in the Slender Man Cup

Epic’s official Slender Man Cup rules, published October 19, set up two events:

• Slender Man Cup: Duos, with one session in Reload and one in Zero Build Reload. Each session lasts about three hours, with a maximum of 12 matches.
• Slender Man Mobile Cup: Solo Reload on mobile. Each session lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes, with a maximum of 8 matches.

Points follow the scoring shown in-game, and a match only counts if it starts before the session closes. The outfit and back bling go to the top teams or players on each region’s leaderboard. The spray goes to anyone who scores 8 points in the Duos cup or 5 points in the Mobile Cup, whatever their placement.

Slender Man Cup reward cutoffs by region

These are the placements that win the outfit and back bling, from Attachment C of Epic’s rules:

Each Duos cutoff is counted in teams on the leaderboard, so both players on a winning team qualify. Players living in Turkey or Russia are not eligible for prizes under the rules, and players under 18 need a parent or guardian’s permission to take part.

The Slender Man rules also say the event is subject to Epic’s Competitive Master Rules, which set the general eligibility requirements:

• Age: at least 13, or older where your country requires it, and no Cabined Accounts (section 3.1).
• 2FA: two-factor authentication must be enabled on your Epic account (section 3.3).
• Account level: an Epic account level of at least 50 for events other than FNCS, Cash Cups and Performance Evaluations, which need 350 (section 3.6.3). This is your account level in the Career tab, not your Battle Pass level.

How much will the Slender Man skin cost?

Epic has not announced a price. VICE’s estimate, based on recent collab bundles, puts the outfit at 1,500 V-Bucks, the back bling at 400 and the pickaxe at 800. That is 2,700 V-Bucks bought separately, and VICE estimates a bundle at about 1,600. Treat all of these as estimates until the set is in the shop.
