GTA Online Vehicle Cargo, the Import/Export business, pays a base $15,000 to $80,000 per car after modification costs. That range is for an undamaged car, before the public-lobby High Demand Bonus and any collection bonus. The car’s range and your buyer set the base, with Top Range to a Specialist Dealer highest. Sourcing is free; repairs cost up to $34,000.
Vehicle Cargo arrived with the Import/Export update in December 2016. You steal high-end cars to order, store them in a Vehicle Warehouse, then export them through a buyer. It works very differently from crate-based Special Cargo, and the differences decide whether it suits the way you play.
The payouts and rules below come from the community-run GTA Wiki pages on Vehicle Cargo, its Sell Missions, Vehicle Warehouses and Offices, which transcribe the in-game screens. Where Rockstar has said something itself, in its Newswire or patch notes, that is noted in the text.
What you need before you can run Vehicle Cargo
Two properties, bought in this order:
- An Office — $1,000,000 for Maze Bank West, up to $4,000,000 for Maze Bank Tower. Registering as a CEO and owning an Office is what gives you the SecuroServ computer. Maze Bank West is included free with the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack.
- A Vehicle Warehouse — nine locations, from $1,500,000 in La Mesa to $2,850,000 in Murrieta Heights. You buy it from the SecuroServ computer in your Office.
A Vehicle Warehouse holds up to 40 cars, and you can own only one, unlike Special Cargo warehouses. Its only running cost is a $50 daily mechanic fee. It also cannot be raided by NPCs or other players, which matters if you plan to leave stock sitting there.
The price gap between warehouses is about location, not capacity. Every one holds 40 cars; the wiki notes that the dearer ones sit in more open areas, where airlifting a car in with a Cargobob is easier. The cheaper ones are in tight streets or gang-heavy neighbourhoods.

How Vehicle Cargo sourcing works
Sourcing is free to start. On the SecuroServ computer you pick Vehicle Cargo and press Source Vehicle. The game picks a car at random from Standard, Mid or Top Range, texts you a photo, and the Assistant explains the job when you leave the Office.
The job itself varies. The car might be parked and waiting, rigged with a bomb that goes off if you slow down, sitting at a street race meet, or on its way offshore so that you need a heavy-lift helicopter. There are 15 scenario types in total, and harder jobs come with more expensive cars.

Once the car is in the warehouse, the next source mission is two and a half minutes away. That cooldown starts when you deliver the car or fail the job.
What damage costs you
You do not pay to source a car, but you pay to fix it. The warehouse mechanic bills the CEO on delivery, and the more damage the car takes, the higher the bill. The maximum repair charge is $34,000. After that, the bill stops rising, but the car keeps taking damage and the mission fails if it is destroyed.

Against a Standard Range car that nets $15,000 to a private buyer, a maximum repair bill wipes out the sale more than twice over. Clean driving is the main thing that separates a good Vehicle Cargo session from a bad one.
One more way to lose a car: if the session splits while you are delivering and you end up alone, or a second player joins and leaves mid-delivery, the car catches fire and is destroyed a few seconds later.
Vehicle Cargo base payouts by range and buyer
When you export a car from the Ad-Hawk Autos laptop in the warehouse, you choose one of three buyers. Private buyers take the car as it is. Showroom and Specialist Dealer buyers pay more but charge an up-front modification fee. The table shows the base net per car: each commission minus that fee, for an undamaged car, with no public-lobby High Demand Bonus and no collection bonus added:
| Range | Private | Showroom | Specialist Dealer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Top | $40,000 | $70,000 − $10,000 = $60,000 | $100,000 − $20,000 = $80,000 |
| Mid | $25,000 | $43,750 − $6,250 = $37,500 | $62,500 − $12,500 = $50,000 |
| Standard | $15,000 | $26,250 − $3,750 = $22,500 | $37,500 − $7,500 = $30,000 |
Two things can add to these figures: the High Demand Bonus for selling in a public lobby with rival players, and the per-car collection bonus. Both are covered further down.
The better-paying buyers are also harder. If no rival players are in the session, pairs of armed Street Racers in Sultan RS cars chase you: two pairs on a Private sale, three on a Showroom sale and four on a Specialist Dealer sale. Every sale has a 15-minute delivery limit, and Showroom sales add a second stop to collect the pink slips first.

Damage on the way to the buyer counts too. The export screen itself warns that damaging the car during delivery lowers its market value, and your commission drops with it.
GTA V Money - PC (Enhanced)PC on the Enhanced version. A Top Range car sold to a Specialist Dealer nets a base $80,000 if it arrives undamaged. From $15.90View offerStandard, Mid and Top Range cars: which ones you will get
There are 32 models you can be asked to steal, each in three variants with different plates, paint and mods:
- Top Range (12): 811, ETR1, FMJ, Mamba, Osiris, Reaper, Roosevelt Valor, Stirling GT, T20, Tyrus, X80 Proto, Z-Type
- Mid Range (10): Cheetah, Coquette BlackFin, Coquette Classic, Entity XF, Omnis, Seven-70, Sultan RS, Tropos Rallye, Verlierer, Zentorno
- Standard Range (10): Alpha, Banshee 900R, Bestia GTS, Feltzer, Jester, Massacro, Nightshade, Sabre Turbo Custom, Tampa, Turismo R
The random pick has a useful rule behind it. The game will not give you the same model twice until you have one of each of the 32 in storage. So once all 10 Standard and all 10 Mid models are sitting in your warehouse, every source mission after that is a Top Range car, until you reach 32.
That is the wiki’s main import tip, and it follows directly from the payout table. Holding the lower-range cars in stock rather than selling them straight away steers your sourcing toward the $80,000 cars.

For scale: one of each of the 32 models, all sold undamaged to Specialist Dealers, adds up to $1,760,000 (12 × $80,000 + 10 × $50,000 + 10 × $30,000). That is our arithmetic from the table above, not a figure the wiki or Rockstar publishes, and it assumes no repair bills, no High Demand Bonus and no collection bonus.
Selling Vehicle Cargo solo vs with a partner
This is the part that shapes how Vehicle Cargo feels to play. You export one to four cars at a time, and the number depends on how many associates you have in your CEO organisation in the session. Solo, that means one car per sell mission.
Each sale is followed by a cooldown of 20 to 50 minutes before you can sell again, depending on how many cars went out together. Sourcing keeps running during that time, since its cooldown is only two and a half minutes, so a solo player can keep filling the warehouse while waiting to sell.
Associates change the money in two ways. Outside of collections, they get only their normal SecuroServ associate pay, not a share of the car sales. With collections, they earn a bonus of their own, as the next section explains.
Vehicle collections: the bonus for selling sets
Some buyers want a specific set of cars with specific plates. Sell the full set together and each car pays the Specialist Dealer net without needing mods, plus a collection bonus per car. There are ten collections:
| Collection | Cars | Bonus per car |
|---|---|---|
| Uninsurable | X80 Proto, T20, Osiris | $35,000 |
| Birds of Paradise | Tyrus, Cheetah, FMJ, Entity XF | $50,000 |
| Fading Power | Coquette BlackFin, Nightshade | $20,000 |
| No Direct Sunlight | Bestia GTS, Feltzer, 811 | $35,000 |
| Stay Declasse | Sabre Turbo Custom, Tampa, Mamba | $35,000 |
| Molten Metal | Alpha, Reaper, Massacro, Zentorno | $50,000 |
| Pastel Perfection | Coquette Classic, Verlierer, ETR1 | $35,000 |
| Hip to be Square | Omnis, Tropos Rallye, Jester, Sultan RS | $50,000 |
| Shades of Blue | Banshee 900R, Stirling GT, Seven-70, Turismo R | $50,000 |
| End of Empires | Roosevelt Valor, Z-Type | $20,000 |
Only one of each model’s three variants fits its collection, identified by its plate. The catch is that a collection has to be sold in one mission, and you can only move as many cars as you have players. A four-car collection needs a CEO and three associates.
The bonus goes to whoever drops each car off: the CEO gets it on their own car, and each associate on theirs. The CEO still receives the sale money for every car.
Public sessions and the High Demand Bonus
Vehicle Cargo can be sourced in Public or Invite Only sessions. Since Title Update 1.61 in July 2022, Rockstar also lets business Sell missions run in private sessions.
Selling in public has a reward attached. In the Los Santos Drug Wars patch notes of December 13, 2022, Rockstar states that “the High-Demand Bonus has been applied to Vehicle Cargo Sell Missions”. The wiki puts that bonus at 2.5% per rival player, up to 50% with 20 rivals.
The trade-off is that rival players are alerted to your cargo once the signal countdown ends, and the car shows on their map. Anyone outside your organisation who gets in it can take it to a police station for $5,000, or to their own warehouse if they are a CEO.
We found no Rockstar patch note since then that changes Vehicle Cargo payouts. The most recent official mention is a bug fix in the July 16, 2026 notes, for players who could not leave the modification menu during a sell mission.
Vehicle Cargo vs Special Cargo: how they compare
Both are CEO businesses run from the same Office, so the real question is which one fits your time. Here are the two businesses side by side:
| Vehicle Cargo | Special Cargo | |
|---|---|---|
| Warehouse price | $1,500,000 – $2,850,000 | $250,000 (small) up to $3,500,000 (large) |
| Warehouses you can own | One, 40 cars | Up to five; 16, 42 or 111 crates each |
| Cost to source | Nothing up front; repairs up to $34,000 | $2,000 – $18,000 per buy mission |
| Paid | Per car, base $15,000 – $80,000 net | Per crate sold: $10,000 for a single crate, rising in steps to $20,000 a crate for a full large warehouse ($2,220,000) |
| What you sell at once | One to four cars, one per player; solo, one car | You choose how many crates, from one up to the whole warehouse |
| Raids | Cannot be raided | Can be raided by NPCs; the Mansion security upgrade negates raids |
The practical difference is how the money is paced. Vehicle Cargo pays car by car at a fixed base rate, so a short session can end with a sale. Special Cargo lets you choose how many crates to sell, so you can sell early too, but the per-crate value rises with the number sold: a full warehouse pays more per crate and more per sale than a partial one, and full warehouses carry a raid risk.
Per trip, the two overlap. A single-crate Special Cargo buy mission is worth about $18,000 in eventual profit and a three-crate one about $42,000, both counted at the full large-warehouse rate. A Top Range Vehicle Cargo car sold to a Specialist Dealer nets a base $80,000, but a Standard Range car sold privately nets $15,000, and a solo player needs a separate sell trip for every car. We have no per-hour data for either business, so which one earns more depends on how you play rather than on a number we can give you.
If you are comparing against heists instead, our breakdown of Cayo Perico heist payouts covers the other money method most players weigh these businesses against. If you picked up a Bunker during the September 2026 Gunrunning bonus week, that is a third business that runs from its own property.
GTA Online money services for Vehicle Cargo players
Buying the Office and a Vehicle Warehouse costs at least $2,500,000 before the first car, unless you have the Starter Pack office. If you would rather skip that grind, these are the GTA Online money listings we run; we also offer GTA Online boosting for rank and unlocks.

How much does Vehicle Cargo pay per car?
A base $15,000 to $80,000 after modification costs. That is for an undamaged car, before the High Demand Bonus for selling in a public lobby with rival players and before any collection bonus. Top Range cars net a base $40,000, $60,000 or $80,000 to Private, Showroom and Specialist Dealer buyers.
Does it cost money to source a car?
No. There is no purchase price. The cost is the repair bill if the car is damaged on the way to the warehouse, which can reach $34,000.
Can I do Vehicle Cargo solo?
Yes, but you can only export one car per sell mission, followed by a 20 to 50 minute sell cooldown. Collections need as many players as there are cars in the set.
How many Vehicle Warehouses can I own?
One. It holds 40 cars and costs between $1,500,000 and $2,850,000, depending on location.
Can my Vehicle Warehouse be raided?
No. Unlike Special Cargo warehouses, a Vehicle Warehouse cannot be raided by NPCs or by players. Cars can still be stolen by rivals while you are moving them.
Is Vehicle Cargo worth it in 2026?
It is a steady per-car earner rather than a single big payday: a base of up to $80,000 per undamaged Top Range car, with no stock to buy. Rockstar added the High Demand Bonus to its sell missions in Title Update 1.64 but has not otherwise changed its payouts in the patch notes we checked. Special Cargo can also be sold a little at a time, but it pays more per crate when you sell more at once, so the choice comes down to whether you prefer a fixed rate per car or building stock toward a bigger sale.
