Callina Liang’s movie-version Chun-Li is scheduled to arrive in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 10, 2026, according to the official Street Fighter movie account. Epic has not yet listed the V-Bucks price. Fortnite also lists Street Fighter Cup sessions on October 9–10 with cosmetic rewards, although the public event page does not identify the exact prize.
This guide covers when to check the shop, how the Street Fighter Cup works, what the original 2021 Street Fighter outfits cost, and how many V-Bucks to have ready. For pack sizes, see our Fortnite V-Bucks prices guide.
Fortnite movie Chun-Li release date and Item Shop time
| Event | Date | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Street Fighter Cup sessions | October 9–10, 2026 | Epic, Fortnite Competitive event page |
| Movie Chun-Li in the Item Shop | October 10, 2026 | Street Fighter movie official X account |
| Usual daily Item Shop refresh | 00:00 UTC (8 PM ET the evening before, converted) | Fortnite Wiki, Item Shop page |
| Street Fighter film in US theaters | October 16, 2026 | Paramount Pictures release date |
The movie account announced that a Chun-Li outfit modeled on Callina Liang, who plays her in the film, is “coming to Fortnite October 10.” The community-run Fortnite Wiki says the Item Shop “refreshes daily, usually at 0:00 UTC.” Nobody has said whether Chun-Li arrives with that reset or later in the day, so treat 00:00 UTC as the earliest time to check, not a confirmed drop time.
Some outlets also report a movie version of Ryu. We have not found an official 2026 source for it, so this guide only treats Chun-Li as confirmed.
Street Fighter Cup: dates and rewards
Epic’s Street Fighter Cup event page lists sessions on October 9 and 10, 2026, in both Reload and Zero Build Reload, and says players “battle for a chance to earn cosmetic rewards.”
- Who can enter: players at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in their country) with MFA enabled, per the event page.
- Session times: shown in your local time on the event page and in the game’s Compete tab, and they differ by region.
- Prize: the event page reviewed here does not identify the exact cosmetic, so do not count on a free Chun-Li outfit until the official rules confirm it.
How many V-Bucks the movie Chun-Li costs
The price of the movie outfit is not confirmed. Epic has not listed it, and outlets that printed a number were guessing. We will add the real price once the October 10 Item Shop is live.
What we do know is how Epic priced the original Street Fighter outfits. According to the Fortnite Wiki, the 2021 Ryu and Chun-Li are Gaming Legends Series outfits priced at:
- Ryu: 1,600 V-Bucks
- Chun-Li: 1,600 V-Bucks
- Ryu & Chun-Li Bundle: 2,200 V-Bucks
Those prices are for the original outfits only. The movie version may be priced differently.
Fortnite 2,400 V-Bucks2,400 V-Bucks covers the 1,600 V-Buck price the original Chun-Li sells for. From $15.99View offerIs the movie Chun-Li the same as the 2021 skin?
No. The Ryu and Chun-Li outfits that arrived in February 2021 are based on the Street Fighter games. The October 10 Chun-Li is a new outfit tied to the film and modeled on Callina Liang. If you already own the 2021 Chun-Li, the movie version is a separate item.
Leakers have posted lists of back blings, pickaxes and emotes for the movie release. Epic has not confirmed those items, so we have left them out until the shop is live.
Can you gift the movie Chun-Li?
Item Shop outfits can normally be gifted if you meet Epic’s gifting rules: two-factor authentication, account level 2 and at least 2 days as friends. Our guide to gifting skins in Fortnite covers the full list. Whether this outfit is giftable will show on its item page when it goes live.
