The Battlefield 6 Dead Space event, called Convergence, runs from October 20 to November 7, 2026. Its main mode is Marker Incursion, a 16-player PvE fight against AI-controlled Marked Soldiers on Area 51, using the Pulse Rifle pickup. Rewards include the “Aegis VII” Soldier skin and the “RIG-Certified” SMG Weapon Package. EA has not said how each reward unlocks.

EA gives dates only, with no start or end hour, so we have not converted them to other time zones. EA says the event runs through November 7 but gives no cutoff hour. Do not assume it will remain available until 11:59 PM in your local time.
What is Marker Incursion?
Marker Incursion is the event’s own mode. EA describes it as a new 16-player PvE experience in both Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. You fight through hordes of AI-controlled Marked Soldiers, and the goal is to destroy the Marker and stop the Convergence before the madness spreads.
The setup is the Season 5 story. Pax Armata forces dig up an alien artefact, a Marker, in the vaults beneath Area 51. Soldiers who get too close “succumb to violent madness”, in EA’s words. Our Area 51 map guide covers the surface and the underground facility where the fighting happens.
EA has not said whether Marker Incursion has a difficulty setting, how long a match lasts, or whether it supports solo queue. Those details are Not confirmed.
The Pulse Rifle Battle Pickup
During Marker Incursion you can wield the Pulse Rifle as a Battle Pickup, according to the update notes. EA identifies it as a Battle Pickup rather than a standard loadout weapon. EA has not said whether the Pulse Rifle stays in Battlefield 6 after November 7.
In the Dead Space series, the Pulse Rifle is the SWS Motorized Pulse Rifle, a triple-barreled, rapid-fire assault rifle that is the standard-issue service rifle of the Earth Defense Force’s Marines, according to the Dead Space Wiki. EA has not shown the Battlefield 6 version’s stats.

EA says you “fight against Convergence to unlock Dead Space rewards”, and lists these:

How do you unlock the Aegis VII skin?
Not confirmed. EA says players will fight against Convergence to unlock Dead Space rewards, but it has not published the exact challenge, score threshold or purchase requirement for any individual item. It also has not said whether the two in-game Bundles are earned or sold. We will add the unlock steps once EA publishes an event guide or the event goes live on October 20.
What does Aegis VII mean?
The skin is named after a place in the original series. Aegis VII is the remote planet where an illegal mining colony rediscovers a Marker in the Dead Space story, according to the Dead Space Wiki. EA has not shown the Battlefield 6 skin itself yet.

When does the Battlefield 6 Dead Space event start?
October 20, 2026, per EA’s Update 2.1.1.0 notes. EA has not given a start hour.

No, going by the dates. The PlayStation and Steam free trial ends on October 19, the day before the event starts.
