The ARC Raiders skill tree was rebuilt in the Frozen Trail 2.0 update on October 8, 2026. Each branch now has one middle choice node, where you pick one of two skills, and two end choice nodes that together let you take up to two of three skills. Changing those picks means resetting the whole tree, which costs Coins per spent Skill Point.
Embark describes the new layout in its Frozen Trail 2.0 update notes, but it does not publish a full skill list or point thresholds. The option names and numbers in the tables below come from the community-run ARC Raiders Wiki, not from Embark. For everything else that arrived with the update, see our Frozen Trail update guide, and the Cred change is covered in our Reward Pass guide.
What changed in the ARC Raiders skill tree with Frozen Trail
Before 2.0, the large nodes in the middle and at the end of each branch split the branch into two paths. Embark replaced them with choice nodes:
- Middle of each branch: one path, with a node that is a choice between two skills. You can only take one of them.
- End of each branch: two choice nodes drawing on the same three skills. Together they let you take up to two of the three after reaching the required Skill Point investment in that branch.
- Changing your mind: Embark says you can make the middle-node choice again when you reset your skill tree. There is no per-node swap.
Embark also said this is a first version, and that more tweaks to existing and new skills are likely once it sees how players use the tree.

Every major node choice in the new skill tree
The three branches are still Conditioning, Mobility and Survival. The option lists below come from the community ARC Raiders Wiki’s Skills page as of October 9, 2026, one day after the update, so names and wording may still change as players confirm them in game.
Conditioning branch choices
| Node | Option | What it does (wiki description) |
|---|---|---|
| Middle (pick 1) | Mule’s Gallop | Lets you sprint while over-encumbered |
| Middle (pick 1) | Back On Your Feet | When you are critically hurt, your health regenerates up to a limit |
| End (pick up to 2) | Security Breach | Lets you breach Security Lockers |
| End (pick up to 2) | Weapon Bash | Melee attack with your equipped weapon |
| End (pick up to 2) | Bull Rush | With your weapon stowed, knock back players and ARC while sprinting |
Mobility branch choices
| Node | Option | What it does (wiki description) |
|---|---|---|
| Middle (pick 1) | Vault Spring | Jump at the end of a vault |
| Middle (pick 1) | Vaults On Vaults On Vaults | Vaulting no longer costs stamina |
| End (pick up to 2) | Sprinting On Fumes | Stamina never fully drains while sprinting; any action or damage cancels it |
| End (pick up to 2) | Wall Run | Sprint at a wall to run up it for a few steps |
| End (pick up to 2) | In The Flow | Chaining mobility moves while sprinting raises speed and lowers stamina cost |
Survival branch choices
| Node | Option | What it does (wiki description) |
|---|---|---|
| Middle (pick 1) | Quick Roll | A faster, cheaper Dodge Roll that covers less distance |
| Middle (pick 1) | Minesweeper | Defuse mines and explosive deployables at close range |
| End (pick up to 2) | Road Warrior | More ammo and ARC Powercells looted from ARC, plus full-efficiency recycling |
| End (pick up to 2) | Nomadic Crafting | Field craft a much wider range of items |
| End (pick up to 2) | Field Repair | Repair weapons, shields and gadgets up to 30% durability during a round |

Embark’s notes confirm a few of these names directly. Field Repair has a known issue: it may be unavailable after you unlock it, and Embark says restarting the game fixes it while a patch is in the works.
How many Skill Points you need for each choice node
Embark only says the end-of-branch picks open “after reaching the required skill point investment.” The thresholds below are from the ARC Raiders Wiki, and the wiki contradicts itself on the first one:
- Middle node: the wiki’s text says 15 points in that branch, while its skill table labels the same node “10 Points.” Neither number is confirmed by Embark.
- First end-of-branch pick: 30 points in that branch (wiki).
- Second end-of-branch pick: 40 points in that branch (wiki).
You also need at least one point in the minor node before a major node to reach it. Points spent in one branch do not count toward another branch’s threshold.
According to the same wiki, you earn one Skill Point per level, 76 in total from leveling, plus up to five more for each completed Expedition. That means two end-node picks in one branch (40 points) plus a middle-node pick in the other two branches is within reach, but you cannot take everything. Read our Expedition 5 guide if you want the extra points.
ARC Raiders Skill Tree BoostSkill points come from leveling: one per level, 76 in total, plus Expedition bonuses. From $139.99View offerHow to reset your skill tree in ARC Raiders and what it costs
The community wiki lists a full-tree reset at 2,000 Coins per spent Skill Point, and says you can only reset the entire tree, not one branch or one skill. Embark’s 2.0 notes do not confirm that price, so treat it as a community figure checked on October 9, 2026, not an official rate.

If that community figure is right, a full tree of 76 points would cost 152,000 Coins to reset. Some outlets reported a free reset for everyone when 2.0 went live. That claim is not in Embark’s update notes, so it is not confirmed; check the skill tree screen in game before you spend Coins.
Skill changes Embark confirmed in the 2.0 notes
Three skills from the old tree were tuned to fit the new layout:
- Fight or Flight: stamina gained increased by about 25% per level.
- Stubborn Mule: stamina regen values increased by about 33%.
- Back On Your Feet: healing raised from 30 to 40.
The same update also changed the Heavy Shield, cutting its movement penalty from 15% to 10%. That matters if you build around Used To The Weight, the Conditioning starter node that reduces shield slowdown.

Did Frozen Trail reset everyone’s skill tree?
Not confirmed. Embark’s 2.0 notes describe the new layout but do not mention a free or forced reset. Check your tree in game.
Can you change a choice node without resetting?
No. Embark says the middle-node choice can be made again when you reset your skill tree, and there is no option to reset one branch or one skill.
How much does a skill tree reset cost?
The community wiki lists 2,000 Coins per spent Skill Point. Embark has not published the price in its notes.
How many skill points are there in ARC Raiders?
The wiki lists 76 from leveling, one per level, plus up to five per completed Expedition.
Why is Field Repair not working?
It is a known issue in Embark’s 2.0 notes: Field Repair may be unavailable after unlocking. Restarting the game fixes it, and a patch is in the works.
