To get the Gold Wristband in Forza Horizon 6, earn all seven Festival Wristbands (Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Orange, Purple, Gold) and finish the Horizon Legend event. Points come from Festival races, PR Stunts, Bonus Boards, Skills and Horizon Play levels 1–25. Playground has not published the thresholds: All Things How lists Gold at 32,500 points, FandomWire at 9,840, so trust the in-game meter.

Wristbands are the main campaign ladder of the Horizon Festival. Playground Games’ campaign blog from February 23, 2026 says that earning all seven makes you a Horizon Legend and opens Legend Island. This guide covers how many points that takes, which activities count, and how long players report it taking.

How many points the Gold Wristband needs in Forza Horizon 6

Playground Games has not published the point totals for each wristband. Its First Drive starting guide (May 15, 2026) only says your Horizon Festival Points show in a meter in the upper right corner, and that a Wristband Event opens once the meter fills. The figures below come from a gaming site, not from Playground.

The table is from All Things How (June 1, 2026), which describes the totals as cumulative, not per tier.

Orange15,000Flight ClubPorsche 911 Rallye
Purple20,000Launch ControlSubaru WRX STI ARX Supercar
Gold32,500Horizon LegendLamborghini Aventador LP 780-4

Two partial checks support non-point details in the table: Playground’s own First Drive guide names the same three Yellow Wristband cars, and the Forza Wiki’s achievement list includes the Mech My Day and Flight Club Showcase Events. Neither source verifies the point thresholds.

One source disagrees. FandomWire (May 23, 2026) lists a much smaller scale, with Gold at 9,840 total points. Steam players describe being 8,000 to 8,700 points short of Gold after finishing most races. That leans toward the larger scale but does not independently verify it. Your in-game meter is the number that counts.

On these figures, Purple to Gold is the biggest single step: 12,500 points, more than the whole climb from Yellow to Pink.

Wristband Events you must finish to move up

Filling the meter is not enough on its own. Playground’s progression blog (May 12, 2026) says each new wristband needs a Wristband Event, either a Showcase Event or a Horizon Rush obstacle course, and you must complete it to get the band.

  • Yellow: finish the Horizon Qualifiers, then the Horizon Invitational. Until then, events allow only C class cars, according to the First Drive guide.
  • Green to Purple: one Wristband Event per tier. Horizon Rush events use locations such as Tokyo City Docks, Sotoyama Ski Resort and Irokawa Space Center.
  • Gold: the Horizon Legend event. All Things How reports you only need to finish it, not win it.

Festival race entry also tightens as you climb. Playground says Festival races use set car themes, and Hypercars are not allowed in Festival races until you have at least the Purple Wristband.

Which activities give Horizon Festival Points

Playground lists the official Horizon Festival events as Road, Dirt and Cross Country races, Time Attack Circuits, Drag Meets, PR Stunts and Bonus Boards. Its campaign blog adds Skills. Every one of them feeds the wristband meter.

Horizon Play levels count too

Horizon Play is the multiplayer side: Spec Racing, The Eliminator, Touge Showdown, Hide & Seek and more. Playground says each Horizon Play level up to level 25 grants Horizon Festival Points toward your next wristband. Playground does not say how many points each level is worth.

What does not count: Touge, Street Races and Stamps

Street Races, Touge Battles, Horizon Stories, the Raku-Raku delivery job and day trips belong to Discover Japan, the second campaign track. Playground says that track earns Stamps for your Collection Journal. Players on Steam confirm Touge and Street Races do not move the wristband meter.

Where players say the quick points are

The tips in this section come from players in two Steam discussions, not from Playground. Nobody has timed points per hour across activities, so treat them as experiences, not a ranking.

  • Bonus Boards: one player calls the 30- and 50-point boards the easiest points. Another reached Gold by smashing boards and mascots and driving every road first, then doing traps, zones and a few dirt events.
  • Danger Signs and PR Stunts: a player short of Gold was told danger signs take little effort. One player who won every race still had to do all the PR Stunts, earning two stars on all of them and three stars on some. Another reported that doing every PR Stunt took about 2 hours.
  • Check what you have missed: players point to the Horizon Festival section of the Collection Journal, which shows where you still have points to earn.

The common thread: winning every race is not enough by itself. Several players finished the races and still needed thousands of points from stunts and boards.

How long the Gold Wristband takes

Playground does not give a time, and no source measures Gold on its own, so treat these as rough guides.

  • Insider Gaming (May 14, 2026) estimates about 25 hours to unlock all Wristbands and all Stamps, which is more than Gold alone.
  • HowLongToBeat showed a player-submitted Main Story average of 27½ hours when we checked on October 2, 2026. The site does not define Main Story as the Gold Wristband.
  • Steam’s global achievement stats showed 30.7% of Steam players with Horizon Legend on October 2, 2026, against 85.5% with the Yellow Wristband achievement.

Your time depends on how you play. Racing the Festival events as they unlock and adding PR Stunts and Bonus Boards along the way avoids the stall that players describe at Purple.

What the Gold Wristband unlocks: Legend Island

Playground’s campaign blog says all seven wristbands make you a Horizon Legend and give you access to Legend Island. The island has the Legend Island Circuit and the Colossus, which Playground calls its longest Goliath event ever, a lap of the whole map on the freeway. Playground describes it as the perfect place for R-class cars.

All Things How reports the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 is added to your garage when you finish the Horizon Legend event. If you are after money and spins once you get there, see our Forza Horizon 6 money guide and the guide to getting Super Wheelspins.
