How to unlock camos in MW4
Every Modern Warfare 4 weapon unlocks its camos in the same order, and the track counts in Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone. Level the weapon first, because the early camos are tied to weapon level.

How do you unlock Gold camo in MW4?
Finish the weapon's three Special camos, then get 15 kills in one Multiplayer match with it. Gold is the same challenge on every weapon.
What level do MW4 camos unlock at?
Each Special camo has its own weapon level, between level 13 and level 75 depending on the gun. Enter your weapon level in the tracker to see which ones are open.
Are these MW4 camo challenges final?
They are pre-launch data, not an Activision list. We will check every row in-game when Multiplayer opens on October 23, 2026.
Does camo progress count in DMZ and Warzone?
Yes. Activision says each weapon has one camo track that you progress in Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone; each mode then has three Mastery camos of its own. Warzone joins Modern Warfare 4 with Season 1 on November 6.
How do you unlock the Pyroclast camos?
Through Weapon Prestige, gun by gun. Entering Weapon Prestige 1 unlocks Pyroclast, maxing the gun again unlocks Pyroclast Terminus, and Weapon Prestige Master Levels 150 and 250 unlock Pyroclast Scatter and Pyroclast Cascade.
Can I track only the guns I am working on?
Yes. Tap the star on a weapon to pin it. Pinned weapons stay at the top of their class, and Show > Pinned lists only them.
Is the MW4 camo tracker free?
Yes. No sign-up; your progress is saved in your browser, and a progress code moves it to another device.

Challenges marked † are our translation of a pre-launch sheet (the grenade launcher entries could mean a 40mm launcher or a 40-metre range); ‡ marks a weapon-name match we have not confirmed; the Warlord Platinum (50 on the sheet, 125 for the shotgun class) is unresolved.
Weapon levels and Apex. Special camos show the level they open at. Max weapon levels for all 33 guns come from Activision's October 19 weapons post. Apex Attachments are the final reward for maxing a weapon; we list only the ones Activision has named or shown. The colour dots are a guide, not the in-game camos.
Modes and Prestige. Mastery camo names come from Activision's August 21, 2026 showcase videos; Weapon Prestige rules from its October 19 progression post. Activision has not published the Mastery unlock rules yet.
