The T-72B3 unlocks at Driver level 20 in Wardogs Season 2, with a one-time unlock cost of $250,000. After that, each tank costs $16,000 at the vendor. Bulkhead calls it slower than the L2A6 but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient. Driver level 20 takes 111,500 XP on the Season 2 curve.
When you get the T-72B3 in Wardogs
Bulkhead’s Season 02 Patch Notes, posted October 14, 2026, put the T-72B3 on the Driver progression track. Season 2 went live on October 15 after a maintenance window scheduled for 08:00 to 09:30 UTC.
There are two costs. Reaching Driver level 20 opens the tank, and a one-time $250,000 payment unlocks it. After that you buy each tank from the vendor for $16,000 whenever you want to field one.
Bulkhead says Season 2’s Driver changes give players who like armed vehicles “more ways to get kills before reaching the L2A6”. For comparison, Bulkhead’s Season 1 changelog placed the Heavy Tank at Driver level 35. The Season 2 notes do not restate the L2A6’s level.

The Season 2 notes list these Driver unlocks and vendor prices. Unlock cost is paid once; vendor price is paid each time you buy the vehicle in a match. The table covers the new and changed vehicles; anything the notes did not mention keeps its Season 1 values, which are not restated.

The biggest move is the SPH-2 artillery, which left the WARDOG track for Driver level 31 and got $150,000 cheaper to unlock. The L2A6’s unlock level is not in the Season 2 notes, but its vendor price rose by $8,000.

T-72B3 vs L2A6: which tank to buy
Bulkhead describes the T-72B3 as a main battle tank that is “slower than the L2A6, but cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient”. The price gap is $16,000 against $22,000 at the vendor. Bulkhead has not published armor, damage or speed numbers for either tank.
The kill reward points the same way. Destroying an enemy T-72B3 pays $8,000, while an L2A6 pays $11,000, down from $14,000 in Season 1. Season 2 also made tracked vehicles “weightier”, with less floating in the air and less bouncing on landing.
We found no community test of the two tanks side by side as of October 15. Until one appears, the official difference is speed, fuel use and price, nothing more.
On those official points, the T-72B3 suits you if the lower vendor price and slightly better fuel efficiency matter more; the L2A6 suits you if speed matters more. Armor and damage differences are not confirmed.
Flakpanzer Gepard: the anti-air unlock at Driver 25
The Flakpanzer Gepard is Season 2’s anti-air vehicle, unlocked at Driver level 25 for $300,000 and sold at $14,000. Bulkhead’s notes give it one line, “Anti Air Vehicle”, and no stats. Destroying one pays the enemy $7,000.

Helicopters became more expensive in the same update. The Havoc unlock went from $500,000 to $650,000 and its vendor price from $18,000 to $28,000. The Little Bird with miniguns moved from Pilot level 4 to 8. Our Season 2 weapons and vehicles guide covers the full list of additions.
How to level the Driver track faster in Season 2
Season 2 moved two sources of XP onto the Driver track. Artillery now gives Driver XP instead of Support, and repairing a ground vehicle pays Driver XP instead of a flat Support amount.
Logistics base rewards went down, but delivery streaks are new. Bulkhead lists these bonuses per run in a row:
- Crates: +50 XP per crate, up to 10
- Pallets: +100 XP per pallet, up to 10
- Players delivered: +5 XP per player, up to 25
- Return trips: +25 XP per trip, up to 10
The whole Season 2 curve is faster. Driver level 20 needs 111,500 XP, against 250,000 in the Season 1 column Bulkhead printed. Our guide to leveling every Wardogs class has the full curve to level 50.
Unlocking the T-72B3 and then buying it still adds up to $266,000 for the first tank. Season 2 also made purchased vehicles’ inventories private to the driver and squad by default.
