The Panther Statue is the biggest Cayo Perico primary target at $1,900,000, or $2,090,000 on hard, but it only appears during Rockstar events. Outside those, the best you can scope is the Pink Diamond at $910,000, then Bearer Bonds at $616,000. Fees take 12% on top of a $100,000 set-up cost, and a solo run cannot reach the gold at all — that room needs two keycards and two players.
Every Cayo Perico primary target and what it pays

Rockstar does not publish payout tables. The values below are the ones documented on the community-run GTA Wiki, checked on September 19, 2026. That page rewrote its loot tables on July 19, 2026 for a balance pass Rockstar never detailed publicly; its own change log and its infobox still carry the older, higher figures, so if you see two sets of numbers on the same wiki page, the tables are the newer ones. Difficulty changes exactly one payout figure — the primary target, plus 10% on hard — but it is not a free 10%, and the section below sets out what else it changes.
| Primary target | Value | On hard | Where it is |
|---|---|---|---|
| Panther Statue | $1,900,000 | $2,090,000 | Glass case — events only |
| Madrazo Files | $1,100,000 | — | First playthrough only |
| Pink Diamond | $910,000 | $1,001,000 | Glass case |
| Bearer Bonds | $616,000 | $677,000 | Safe |
| Ruby Necklace | $560,000 | $616,000 | Glass case |
| Sinsimito Tequila | $400,000 | $440,000 | Glass case |
Two of those are not really options. The Madrazo Files are the target on your very first run and never appear again. The Panther Statue is flagged on the wiki as available only during certain events — Rockstar has brought it back repeatedly, including an August 2026 event that guaranteed it on the first run, but outside those windows it is not in the rotation.
That leaves the Pink Diamond as the realistic ceiling, and it is also the one the game actively makes harder to get.

Why the Pink Diamond shows up less: the 72-hour rule
This one is official, and it changes how you should read a run of bad scopes. Rockstar’s support article on rare primary targets, last updated April 2, 2024, answers the question directly:
“When a rare Primary Target (e.g., a Pink Diamond) is found during the Cayo Perico Heist Finale, higher value Primary Targets will appear less often for the next 72 hours, while the value of Secondary Targets will increase.”
Note what it does and does not say. The target is still random; what changes is the weighting. Finding a rare one puts you into a three-day window where the high-value targets come up less often, and Rockstar compensates with more valuable secondary loot instead. Two practical consequences: do not re-scope over and over hoping to reroll a diamond on day one of that window, and do not skip the runs inside it — that is exactly when a full bag is worth the most.
What the heist actually nets after fees
The number on the target is a gross figure. Two things come off the crew’s take after the first playthrough: Pavel’s 2% cut and the Madrazo Cartel’s 10% fencing fee. Separately, the heist leader pays a $100,000 set-up fee to start the run — waived on the very first one. That fee is the leader’s own cost, paid up front, not a deduction from the pool the crew splits.
Using the wiki’s own maximum-take table, with the event Panther Statue on hard and every loot bag filled:
| Crew size | Crew gross | Fence 10% | Pavel 2% | Pool the crew splits |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 players | $3,188,000 | $318,800 | $63,760 | $2,805,440 |
| 3 players | $3,687,500 | $368,750 | $73,750 | $3,245,000 |
| 4 players | $4,187,000 | $418,700 | $83,740 | $3,684,560 |
Three things about that table matter more than the numbers in it.
- It is a crew total, not your payout. The last column is what the crew splits, and the heist leader sets each player’s percentage before the finale. Nobody walks away with the figure in that row.
- The leader is $100,000 down before any of it. Work out your own profit from your share, and subtract the set-up fee if you are the one hosting.
- These are ceilings. They assume the event-only Panther Statue on hard and every bag filled with the densest loot available.
The wiki does publish a one-player column — $2,688,500 gross, $2,365,880 after fees — but it is built on one player filling a bag with gold, and the same page says a solo runner cannot reach the gold at all. We have left it out rather than reprint a figure its own source contradicts. The next section is what a solo run can actually carry.

This is the part most payout tables quietly skip. The GTA Wiki is explicit: a player running the finale solo is “restricted to stealing secondary targets from lock-ups around the island — cash and drugs.”
The reason is a door. The compound’s storage rooms sit behind a dual-keycard access door that needs two players to open it: one keycard is dropped by a guard, the other is on Strickler’s desk in the office, and both have to be entered at the same time. Those rooms are where the gold, the paintings and the extra cash stacks are. Two of the island lock-ups also have steel shutters that take two players — one holding a lever, one collecting. Paintings that spawn in the office itself are the exception, and the only compound loot a solo player can reach.
So for a solo player:
- Gold is off the table. It is behind the dual-keycard door.
- Cocaine and weed are the best loot you can reach, from the island lock-ups, at $396,000 to $405,000 and $323,070 to $360,450 per full bag.
- Paintings are a maybe. The wiki notes a solo run can take one or two, but only if they spawn in the office.
- The office safe still counts. $20,000 to $99,000, and it does not use bag space.
Lock-ups usually have to be forced open with demolition charges, explosives or a shot to the lock, all of which alert nearby guards. Bolt cutters or the cutting torch open them quietly instead, which is the single biggest quality-of-life difference on a solo run.
Secondary targets: what is worth putting in the bag
Each loot type takes up a percentage of one bag, so the right question is not what a stack is worth but what a full bag of it is worth. The wiki’s figures:
| Loot | Per stack | Bag space | Full bag |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold | $300,000 – $333,000 | 66.7% | $450,000 – $499,500 |
| Cocaine | $198,000 – $202,500 | 50% | $396,000 – $405,000 |
| Weed | $121,000 – $135,000 | 37.5% | $323,070 – $360,450 |
| Cash | $74,000 – $80,000 | 25% | $296,000 – $320,000 |
| Artwork | $121,000 – $135,000 | 50% | $242,000 – $270,000 |
Gold first, paintings last — but keep the scale straight. A full bag of gold is worth $450,000 to $499,500, which is less than every primary target except the Sinsimito Tequila. Secondary loot does not beat the primary; it multiplies it, because each extra crew member brings another bag while the primary stays fixed. That is the argument for running it with a full crew — it maximises the crew’s gross take, not necessarily your own share. For a business that pays between heists, see our Vehicle Cargo payouts guide.
One extra: the safe in El Rubio’s office holds $20,000 to $99,000 and, per the wiki, does not take up bag space at all. Take it every time. Secondary loot is dropped if guards shoot you or you respawn — the safe cash is the exception — and the primary target drops if whoever is carrying it dies.
Cooldowns, hard mode and the 48-minute window
You cannot chain runs back to back. After finishing, the heist leader waits three in-game days — 144 real minutes — when playing solo, or one in-game day, 48 real minutes, as a group. Quitting the game does not pause that timer.
Then comes the part that catches people out. When Pavel messages you that the heist is available again, you have a 48-minute window to reach the submarine and pay the $100,000 set-up fee to trigger hard mode. Miss that window and the run is normal difficulty only, which costs you the 10% on the primary.
Hard mode does not make the secondary loot better or the safe fatter, so on the payout side it moves one figure. It is not cosmetic anywhere else, though. On hard, guards and their vision cones only show on your map at close range instead of being marked across the island, which is the point at which the $25,000 Recon Drone stops being redundant and starts being useful. The fingerprint hack also gets longer: four prints instead of three if you go down through the office elevator, two instead of one at the scanner on the underground route. Read the 10% as payment for a harder run, not as a switch you should always flip.
What the first run gives you

Your first playthrough is a different heist to every one after it. The target is the Madrazo Files at $1,100,000, the set-up fee is waived, and neither Pavel’s 2% nor the Cartel’s 10% is deducted. It also unlocks heist replays, Keinemusik DJ requests, and reduced prices on the Longfin, Annihilator Stealth, RO-86 Alkonost, Vetir, Kurtz 31 Patrol Boat and Brioso 300. The Perico Pistol and Combat Shotgun are optional unlocks along the way.

What is the best Cayo Perico primary target?
The Panther Statue at $1,900,000, or $2,090,000 on hard — but it only appears during events. Outside those, the Pink Diamond at $910,000 is the best you can scope.
Why do I keep getting the tequila?
Because someone on your account recently completed a run with a rare primary. Rockstar’s support article says higher-value primaries appear less often for 72 hours afterwards, and that secondary target values go up instead.
How much does Cayo Perico pay solo?
Less than most tables suggest, because a solo player cannot reach the gold — the compound rooms need two players entering two keycards at once. Solo secondary loot means the island lock-ups: cocaine at up to $405,000 a bag, weed at up to $360,450, plus the office safe and sometimes a painting. Add the primary, then take off 12% in fees and the $100,000 set-up.
Is hard mode worth it?
It adds 10% to the primary target and nothing else on the payout side. On a $910,000 Pink Diamond that is $91,000, and you have to reach the sub and pay the set-up fee inside a 48-minute window to get it. The trade is a harder heist: guards are only marked on your map at close range, and the fingerprint hack runs four prints instead of three through the office, two instead of one underground.
What is the cooldown between Cayo Perico heists?
144 real minutes solo, 48 real minutes as a group, measured from completing the previous finale. Logging off does not pause it.
Does the office safe count against my loot bag?
No. The wiki notes the $20,000 to $99,000 from the safe does not take up bag space, and it is also the one kind of secondary loot you do not drop when you go down.
Can I get the Madrazo Files again?
No. They are the first-playthrough target only.
Can I get gold solo?
No. Gold sits behind a dual-keycard door inside the compound that requires two players to open simultaneously. Two of the island lock-ups also need a second player to hold the shutter lever.
