Wardogs Wipe: What Resets in Season 2 and What You Keep

Bulkhead said in a video, as reported by Polygon, that the Wardogs wipe at the end of a season converts leftover cash to Gold Bars automatically. The community-run Dexerto wiki lists cash, Career and role levels and XP as resetting and Gold Bars as kept; the official changelog says each season gets a different XP curve. Bulkhead’s CEO expects Season 2 in early October 2026, with no date confirmed.

Wardogs Season 2 start date and wipe timing

Bulkhead has not announced a date for the end of Season 1, the wipe, or the start of Season 2. What exists are statements from CEO Joe Brammer, reported by the press, plus the launch date the season is counted from. Every row below is a date that was actually published; nothing is converted into other time zones because no clock time has been given.

Brammer’s September 18 comments, reported by PCGamesN, also say he had already played the Season 2 build and that the studio is “not happy with the state of vehicles”. He did not list the Season 2 content. Future seasons may run to a different length: Insider Gaming quoted Brammer on September 14 saying later seasons “could be whatever we decide”.

What the Wardogs wipe resets and what you keep

Bulkhead has explained the wipe in videos and interviews rather than in a single written rules page. The table combines those statements with Dexerto’s Wardogs wiki, which published a wipe explainer on September 22, 2026. Where neither source covers an item, it says so.

Wardogs cash at the end of Season 1

Cash is the balance in the top-right corner of your HUD, and Bulkhead’s official site says it “persists from match to match.” It does not persist across seasons. Polygon’s April 7, 2026 report on Bulkhead’s Early Access video says any cash left at the end of a season is automatically converted into Gold Bars, so newer players are not at a financial disadvantage.

Wardogs levels and unlocks after the wipe

Progress is tracked on the account-wide Career track and on separate role tracks such as Medic, Support, Driver, Pilot and Recon. Unlocks sit at a level on a track and, for the bigger items, carry a cash price too. The Season 1 changelog moved the Artillery Tank to Career level 90 at $500,000 and the Heavy Tank to Driver level 35, for example. The community-run Dexerto wiki lists levels as resetting at the wipe, and when they reset, those gates close again.

The same changelog says “Each season we will have a different XP curve with different item orders.” So the Season 2 unlock list is not guaranteed to match Season 1. Bulkhead has not published it. No source we found says an unlock you paid for in Season 1 survives the wipe, so plan on earning it again.

Do Wardogs Gold Bars survive the wipe?

Yes. Gold Bars are the currency built to survive it. Bulkhead’s February 18, 2026 Steam post calls them “the endgame currency used to obtain cosmetic unlocks.” Dexerto’s Gold Bars page says they are “permanently tied to your account” while cash resets every season.

There are two ways to get them: exchange cash yourself during the season, or let the wipe convert what is left. The exchange rate moves daily, according to both Polygon and Dexerto. Bulkhead has not said which day’s rate the automatic conversion will use. You cannot buy Gold Bars with money: the pre-order announcement of August 11, 2026 says “We will NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars, they must be earned through play.”

Cosmetics you buy with Gold Bars stay too. Polygon describes them as “permanent cosmetic unlocks”. Supporter Edition items are paid Steam content, but Bulkhead has not said anything about them and the wipe specifically, so they are listed as Not confirmed above.

What happens to your FOB in the Wardogs wipe

There is nothing to lose here. A Forward Operating Base is not saved to your account: it is a module you buy from the in-match vendor with cash, haul out and build on the spot. The Season 1 changelog raised its vendor price from $2,500 to $7,500. After the wipe you buy it again from the new season’s balance.

Two things are not confirmed for Season 2: the FOB’s vendor price, and whether a level gate sits in front of it. The Wardogs FOB guide has the Season 1 build steps and costs.

Wardogs exploit resets are not the seasonal wipe

A second, separate reset exists as a punishment. In the Patch 0.11 notes of September 12, 2026, Bulkhead says players caught using cash exploits get a timed ban and “We will reset your cash and XP to 0.” That happens to one account, whenever it is caught. The seasonal wipe happens to everyone at once, and Bulkhead said in a video, as reported by Polygon, that it converts leftover cash to Gold Bars instead of deleting it.
