To get skill points fast in Forza Horizon 6, chain skills like drifts, near misses and air time without crashing, in a car whose Car Mastery tree has a skill multiplier perk. Playground patched Skill Points farming from Estates on July 13, 2026. Community reports say EventLab events were also capped at about 1 point per run.
Skill points are what you spend in each car’s Car Mastery tree. That tree holds perks such as skill multipliers, instant credits and Wheelspins, and on many cars a Super Wheelspin. If spins are what you are really after, our guide to Forza Horizon 6 Super Wheelspins covers every source.
Playground Games has not published a skill point table for Forza Horizon 6. The earning rules below come from Playground’s own patch notes plus community guides, and each community figure is marked as such.
How skill points work in Forza Horizon 6
The basics come from community guides, not from an official table. An All Things How guide updated June 3, 2026 explains that you earn skill points by stringing stunts together without crashing. Drifts, near misses and air time all count, and a longer chain pays more. A crash ends the chain.
The same guide notes that points stack quickly during a skill song, and that destroying roadside objects while drifting in free roam keeps a chain alive. It recommends free roam and EventLab community events for banking skill points. It lists the Festival Playlist separately, as a source of Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins.

Best cars for skill points: multiplier perks in Car Mastery
The single biggest lever is a skill multiplier. It sits in a car’s Car Mastery tree and multiplies every skill you land, so your chain fills much faster. You buy it once with skill points, and it stays on that car.
| Car | Why players use it for skill points | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version | Mastery tree reaches a 9x skill multiplier | Video Games Chronicle, May 19, 2026 |
| 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE | Mastery tree reaches a 7x skill multiplier; a Forza Horizon 5 bonus car | Video Games Chronicle, May 19, 2026 |
The 22B was the go-to farm car at launch. Playground’s July 13, 2026 release notes say its price was “adjusted to better reflect the value of the car”. Community guide author Jake Lee reports the new price is about five times the old one, which was 86,000 credits. If you already own one, nothing changes.
What changed in the July 13, 2026 update
Playground’s July 13, 2026 update post says fixes were applied to “numerous exploits”, including “Skill Points farming from Estates”. It does not mention EventLab skill points. The official release notes separately say the Subaru 22B’s price was adjusted, and neither page gives new skill point numbers.
The size of the nerf, and the EventLab cap itself, come from players, not from Playground. In a Steam discussion from July 16, 2026, a player explains that since the patch you can only get 1 skill point in your Estate and in EventLab events, with challenges “unchanged for now”. Jake Lee’s guide, updated July 23, says the same about EventLab and marks his old farm as no longer working.
That old farm is why you still see huge numbers in older videos. Before the patch, Jake Lee timed an EventLab loop at about 766 skill points an hour. That figure no longer applies, so do not plan around it.

How to get skill points fast after the patch
With the Estate farm patched and EventLab reported as capped, the methods that still pay are the ordinary ones. These steps come from the community guides above.
- Pick one car with a multiplier perk and spend your first points on the multiplier nodes in its Car Mastery tree.
- Drive in free roam where there is room to chain. Long drifts, near misses on traffic and jumps keep the chain going. Avoid walls: one crash and the chain is lost.
- Bank the chain often. A long chain is worth more, but only if you finish it without crashing.
- Use skill songs. Points stack faster while one is playing, according to All Things How.
- Clear the Festival Playlist each week. All Things How lists it as a source of Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins, not as a direct skill point farm.
Whether EventLab challenges still pay full rate is a single community report from July 16, 2026. It may have changed since, so treat it as Not confirmed.
Spending skill points: Wheelspins and Super Wheelspins
The most common use is buying Wheelspin perks. All Things How currently lists more than 100 cars with the Spinball Wizard perk, which gives a Super Wheelspin the moment you unlock it. Two cars come up most often in community guides:
| Car | Skill points | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto | About 39 | Three Wheelspins and a Super Wheelspin |
| 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B-STi Version | About 30 | A Super Wheelspin |
The Revuelto figure is given by both Video Games Chronicle and All Things How. The 22B figure comes from All Things How. Playground has not published Car Mastery costs.

Playground said before launch that Wheelspins, and especially Super Wheelspins, were rebalanced to be rarer and more rewarding in Forza Horizon 6. That is why spending skill points on spin perks matters more than it did in earlier games. For what spins pay out on average, see our Forza Horizon 6 money guide.

Forza Horizon 6 skill point services
Skill points come from chains you drive yourself, one car at a time. If you would rather skip that, these are the Forza Horizon 6 options we run. Festival Pack 1 combines credits, Super Wheelspins and skill points, while Test Drive Pack is a smaller bundle of the same three.

What is the fastest way to get skill points in Forza Horizon 6?
Long skill chains in free roam with a car that has a skill multiplier perk. Playground patched the Estate farm on July 13, 2026, and players report EventLab events now pay about 1 point.
Does the Subaru 22B skill point farm still work?
Not the way it did, according to players. Community reports say the EventLab loop it was used for now pays about 1 point per run; Playground has not confirmed that. The July 13, 2026 release notes did adjust the car’s price. Its 9x multiplier still helps with normal chains.
Did Playground patch skill point farming?
Yes. The July 13, 2026 update note lists a fix for “Skill Points farming from Estates”. The EventLab cap of about 1 point comes from player reports, not the notes.
What should I spend skill points on first?
Community guides suggest a skill multiplier on the car you drive most, then Wheelspin or Super Wheelspin perks such as the Revuelto’s 39-point path.
How many cars give a Super Wheelspin from Car Mastery?
All Things How currently lists more than 100 cars with the Spinball Wizard perk. Playground has not published an official list.
