Wardogs Money Guide (Patch 0.11): How to Earn Cash Fast

Bulkhead pays you for the jobs nobody wants: dropping passengers, stocking crates, building walls and picking people up. Here is what each one is worth, what to spend it on first, and what the developer will ban you for.

The fastest money in WARDOGS comes from teamplay, not kills. Transport is the best-documented repeatable cash method — $450 for dropping a teammate at the zone, plus $500 more if they survive — followed by selling out of your own supply crate, building, revives, tips and spotting. Do all of it inside the Hot Zone, where Bulkhead says you earn double.

The fastest ways to earn cash in WARDOGS

Bulkhead’s pitch is that “every teamplay action you perform rewards cash” (Steam store page, Early Access launch September 10, 2026). These are the activities with published payouts, best-documented first.

WARDOGS transport runs: the best-documented income

Ferrying players to the fighting is the only activity anyone has published hard figures for, and the payout repeats every trip (Dexerto, September 7, 2026; PCGamesN, September 11, 2026). Run a helicopter or a truck as a taxi, land somewhere your passengers will not instantly die, repeat. A clean ride often earns a tip on top.

Selling supplies out of your own crate

Buy a supply crate in the spawn area, fill it with whatever your team is short of, push it forward and let them shop: “Anyone who interacts with your crate and buys any of the supplies inside puts cash right back into your account” (PCGamesN, September 11, 2026). One Season 1 change to know: selling a crate item worth under $75 now gives 1 XP instead of 25, and the crate purchase curve was rescaled from 25–250 down to 1–200 “so low value items are priced sensibly and cannot be abused” (Season 1 Changelog, September 9, 2026).

Building, revives and spotting pay without a gunfight

Construction earns Support XP and cash per completed structure — sandbags, mortars and a forward operating base all count — and Kotaku describes a player who “made a ton of money building up walls” (PCGamesN and Kotaku, September 11, 2026). Reviving and healing pay directly and invite tips, and binocular spotting keeps paying while you stay out of trouble (Dexerto, September 7, 2026). Bulkhead also gave community servers “a bonus 5% End of Match cash bonus” for one week from September 12, 2026, so check whether that is still running (Steam announcement, September 12, 2026).

What WARDOGS cash buys and what to buy first

You start with $10,000 and buy a custom loadout from the vendor every single life, “from a wide selection of weapons, gear, utility, and vehicles” (Steam store page, September 2026). Cash persists between matches, so the bank follows you out of a match even though the kit on the body you just lost does not. Kotaku points at “a little ticker in the upper right of the screen” that tells you when your life has turned a profit (September 11, 2026) — read it and you stop buying loadouts you cannot pay back.

Early on, buy less than you think: keep ammunition cheap, skip the sidearm you will not use, do not overstock bandages, and upgrade by looting enemy bodies instead of shopping (Dexerto, September 7, 2026; PCGamesN, September 11, 2026). Unlocks are gated twice — reaching the level on a role track only earns you the right to buy the item, and you still pay the vendor price in cash (Dexerto Wardogs Wiki, September 5, 2026). The Season 1 vendor prices Bulkhead published on September 9, 2026 show where the real decisions sit:

ItemBeforeSeason 1
Forward Operating Base (vendor)$2,500$7,500
Pilot, Z20 Lakota$50,000$35,000
Pilot, Little Bird with miniguns$25,000$50,000
Driver, URAL$50,000$35,000
Driver, Dune Buggy$35,000$25,000
Career, Artillery Tank$400,000$500,000

Read that as a shopping order: the transport vehicles that make you money got cheaper, while the big toys got dearer and moved up the tracks — the Artillery Tank went from Career level 55 to 90. Buy the thing that earns, then buy the thing that is fun.

What happens to your WARDOGS cash at the end of a season

Cash and level progression reset at the end of a cycle, and whatever cash is left converts into Gold Bars, which stay on the account and buy cosmetics only. The exchange rate moves daily, so the day you convert changes how many bars you get (Dexerto Wardogs Wiki, September 8, 2026). Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer says “season 1 is a month, but then season 2, 3, 4 could be whatever we decide” (Insider Gaming, September 14, 2026), which points at mid-October from the September 10 launch, with no exact date published. Each season also reshuffles the unlock order (Season 1 Changelog, September 9, 2026). So do not sit on a huge pile of cash near the end of a cycle unless you want the bars. Our Wardogs wipe guide covers what else resets in Season 2 and what you keep.

WARDOGS cash exploit and XP farm rules

This directly limits how you are allowed to earn. On September 12, 2026 Bulkhead published its stance on economy abuse: cash exploits earn a timed ban and “We will reset your cash and XP to 0”; posting tutorials on economy exploits is treated as advertising cheats and draws a permanent ban; and XP farming gets the harshest treatment — “We track every server you enter… If your account is tracked as joining one of these servers for more than a few minutes, we will ban your account permanently” (Steam announcement, September 12, 2026; Rock Paper Shotgun, September 14, 2026). The same patch says “Various cash exploits have been fixed”, and the game runs Elytra kernel-level anti-cheat (Steam store page). Taxi runs, crates, walls, revives and the Hot Zone are what the payout table was built to reward.

Wardogs cash and leveling services

If it is the level gates rather than the bank balance holding you back — Bulkhead slowed the early curve, with level 20 alone moving from 111,500 XP to 250,000 XP (Season 1 Changelog, September 9, 2026) — these are the tracks people ask us about. These services are done manually on your own account, and like any account service they cannot be guaranteed risk-free given the Bulkhead enforcement rules described above.

Frequently asked questions

What is the fastest way to make money in WARDOGS?

Transport work is the best-documented option. Dropping a teammate at the zone pays $450, with another $500 if they survive and bonuses from their assists (Dexerto, September 7, 2026). Stack it with supply-crate sales and do it in the Hot Zone, where the store page says you earn double.

Does WARDOGS cash carry over between matches?

Yes. The Steam store page states that cash persists from match to match. It does not carry through a season reset — leftover cash converts to Gold Bars.

Do I lose my cash when I die?

You lose what you spent on that life’s loadout, not your bank. That is why the profit ticker matters: the goal each life is to earn back more than the kit cost you (Kotaku, September 11, 2026).

Can I buy WARDOGS cash or Gold Bars from Bulkhead?

No. The developer says it will “NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars” and that both must be earned through play (Steam announcement, August 11, 2026). The only paid extra during Early Access is the cosmetic Supporter Edition.

When does the first cash wipe happen?

Not confirmed. Bulkhead’s CEO says Season 1 is a month from the September 10, 2026 launch, which points at mid-October, but no exact date had been published as of September 16, 2026 (Insider Gaming, September 14, 2026).

Which role track unlocks the money-making vehicles?

Driver for ground vehicles such as the URAL, Pilot for helicopters such as the Z20 Lakota (Dexerto Wardogs Wiki, September 5, 2026). Bulkhead’s patch notes also use a “Career” track for the big-ticket items like the Artillery Tank, so role names differ between the wiki and the official notes.
