Dam Control Tower Key Location in ARC Raiders

The Dam Control Tower Key opens a locked room on the top floor of the Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds, the building in the middle of the map beside Primary Facility and Research & Administration. Shani gives you one as a reward for her quest The Trifecta. The key is single use, and the room can spawn a Weapon Case, an Ammo Case and a Medical Bag.

Dam Battlegrounds is the first map in ARC Raiders, so this is a key most Raiders pick up early. Where the Dam Control Tower Key door is

The locked door is on the top floor of the Control Tower. In your inventory the key simply reads “Unlocks door to Control Tower on Dam Battlegrounds”. The top-floor detail and the loot information in this guide come from the community-run ARC Raiders Wiki, not from Embark.

The Control Tower sits near the centre of the map, on the southwest side of the dam wall. On the wiki’s community map it is boxed together with Research & Administration directly to its south, with Primary Facility to the west and the Floodgates to the north. The same map marks a player spawn point on the tower’s north corner, so expect company if another squad drops in right beside it.

Once you are inside the tower, keep climbing. The door you want is at the very top, not on the ground floor or the landings in between.

How to get the Dam Control Tower Key

The wiki lists two sources: ordinary scavenging, and quests. It does not list a trader or a crafting recipe for this key, and it gives no drop rate for scavenging, so the quest is the only dependable route.

The Trifecta is given by Shani after you complete Down To Earth. It asks you to destroy three kinds of ARC drone and bring back a part from each:

• Destroy a Wasp and get a Wasp Driver
• Destroy a Hornet and get a Hornet Driver
• Destroy a Snitch and get a Snitch Scanner

The wiki gives two different counts for the parts. The quest objectives ask for one of each, while the Required Items list on the same page shows two of each. Go by the quest screen in your game, which shows the count you actually need.

The quest can be done on any map. Accepting it grants three Remote Raider Flares. Finishing it pays the Dam Control Tower Key along with a Raider Hatch Key, two Defibrillators and the Origin Outfit in orange camo. Unlike the Dam Surveillance Key, which Celeste hands over when you accept her quest, this key only arrives when the quest is complete.

Dam Control Tower vs Spaceport Control Tower

ARC Raiders has two different Control Tower keys. The Spaceport Control Tower Key opens a door in the Ground Control Tower on Spaceport, and Shani’s quest Lost In Transmission sends you up Control Tower A6 on that map. None of that applies to the Dam.

If a guide or a teammate mentions “Control Tower A6” or a terminal connection, they are talking about Spaceport. The Dam key only works on Dam Battlegrounds.

What is inside the Dam Control Tower room

The wiki’s Loot Containers list for this key names three containers:

• Weapon Case — weapons, weapon attachments, gun parts and ammo. The wiki notes that a Weapon Case always holds ammo for the weapon inside it.
• Ammo Case — light, medium, heavy or shotgun ammo.
• Medical Bag — healing supplies such as bandages, Shield Rechargers, Adrenaline Shots and Defibrillators. The wiki marks its loot table as not confirmed.

The wiki is not fully consistent here. The page text says Lockers, a Medical Bag and a Weapon Case “can spawn” in the room, while the container list below it has an Ammo Case instead of Lockers. Neither part gives spawn odds, so treat these as what can appear, not what is guaranteed.

Is the Dam Control Tower Key worth using?

Keys in ARC Raiders are single-use consumables, so every door opening costs one key. The wiki lists this one as Epic, a grade above the Uncommon Surveillance and Staff Room keys on the same map. It weighs 0.25, does not stack, and sells for 100 coins.

That sell value is the useful comparison. A Weapon Case is the container type that holds weapons, and this room is one of the places the wiki lists one. If you are gearing up, opening the door is usually the better use of the key. Just remember you are fighting up a tower next to a spawn point, and a lost raid means a lost key.

The Control Tower also shares its block with Research & Administration, where the Dam Staff Room Key opens a first-floor door. If you hold both keys, both rooms fit in one trip.

Getting onto Dam Battlegrounds

There is nothing to unlock. The wiki calls Dam Battlegrounds “the first playable map”. Its centre is a massive dam that splits swamplands and forest, and the Control Tower stands on the southwest side of that wall.

The same map shows where the other Dam keys are used: Water Treatment Control to the west, the Testing Annex to the southeast, and the Controlled Access Zone to the northeast.
