The Queen only appears under the Harvester map condition, guarding the Harvester structure at one fixed spot on Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport and Blue Gate. Strip the armour off her face to expose the red core in the middle of her body, then hit the core and the leg joints with armour-piercing weapons from under a roof. Her signature drop is the Queen Reactor.
Where the Queen spawns in ARC Raiders

You cannot hunt a Queen on a normal raid. She is tied to one map condition, and the community-run ARC Raiders Wiki is direct about it: the Harvester condition “spawns a Harvester structure protected by a Queen at a fixed location on each map.” No Harvester, no Queen.
The condition is shown before you pick a map and again on the loading screen. Its in-game text reads: “A mysterious harvesting machine has appeared, heavily guarded by the feared Queen. What kind of riches are to be found within?” The wiki lists it on three maps, with these difficulty ratings:
| Map | Harvester condition difficulty | Base map difficulty |
|---|---|---|
| Dam Battlegrounds | 3 | 2 |
| Spaceport | 4 | 3 |
| The Blue Gate | 4 | 4 |
Buried City, Stella Montis and Riven Tides are not listed for the Harvester condition. Because the Harvester sits at a fixed spot on each of the three maps, the second time you run that map under the condition you already know where you are going. Dam Battlegrounds carries the lowest difficulty rating of the three, which makes it the least punishing place to learn the fight.

The wiki’s infobox lists Heavy armour, with the Core and the Leg Joints as the weaknesses. GamesRadar’s Queen guide, published on February 6, 2026, adds the part that matters in practice: both weak points start covered in armour, and the front of the Queen — her face — is the best place to shoot that armour off. You will know when it is gone, because the core glows red against all the steel.
Once it is exposed, the core takes far more damage than the joints do. GamesRadar also describes a high-risk shortcut: ride a Snap Hook onto her body and plant a Deadline mine directly on the exposed core. It works, but you have to get clear before either her defences or your own mine catch you.
How to beat the Queen: cover first, loadout second
Fight her from inside something with a roof. Her mortars come down from above and her laser comes in flat, so a building or bunker that covers you from both is worth more than any single weapon. GamesRadar’s advice is to be in that cover before you engage, then work on the armour from there.
For the loadout it recommends prioritising survivability and armour-piercing damage: an upgraded Anvil, a Hullcracker for stripping armour, the Legendary Equalizer or Jupiter if you are willing to risk them, Wolfpack grenades, a Snap Hook and Deadline for the core play, a Heavy Shield with a Combat Mk. 3 or Tactical Mk. 3 augment, a Defibrillator, and more healing than you think you need. Its honest note on stun weapons such as the Showstopper is that results were mixed.
Solo is possible but punishing. GamesRadar puts it this way: “While it’s incredibly tough to beat a Queen when playing solo, it is possible, and even relatively manageable with a competent, well-armed team.” In practice you will often end up fighting alongside other Raiders who came for the same Harvester, which is why a Defibrillator is on the list even for solo players.
Queen attacks and how to react

The attack list below is from the wiki’s Queen page; the reactions are GamesRadar’s.
- Mortar fire. Two to five mortars launch from the top of her dome, land around you and explode about two seconds after impact. Move away from where they stick, not away from the Queen.
- Laser beam. Fired periodically at anyone in line of sight, leaving the ground scorched and hot to the touch. It visibly charges first. Break line of sight, or roll sideways late; if it sets you on fire, keep rolling.
- Ground slam and EMP pulse. She switches between these when Raiders get close. This is why the core play is a dash rather than a position.
- Harvester electrocution. If she is nearby while Raiders are looting the Harvester, she fires her laser into a node on top of it, which electrocutes everyone inside.
Do you have to kill the Queen to loot the Harvester?

No. The Harvester has its own puzzle and you can run it while she patrols. The wiki describes the core activation sequence in three steps: gather three fusion cores by breaching containers on the upper level (one more spawns on the ground in the centre), insert all three into the base of the central pillar in quick succession, then shoot the twelve pulsating yellow targets that appear. When the last target breaks, containers open in the middle holding one to three Equalizer or Jupiter blueprints.
Two Harvester defences get in the way. A periodic Fire Discharge burns everyone inside and ejects the fusion cores back out of the pillar; it is announced by a yellow warning light and the venting doors open so you can escape. Clearing all the yellow targets on one side stops the core perpendicular to that side from being ejected next time. After the cores go in, the Electrical Surge begins — and that one is the Queen’s doing, so it cannot happen if she is dead. It only drains your shield and stuns you briefly, so the wiki’s counter is simply to unequip your shield.
That gives you the real choice. Kill her first and the Surge never fires, but you spend ammo and time while other Raiders arrive. Leave her alive and the puzzle is faster, but you are being shot at throughout.
Queen loot: the Queen Reactor, Equalizer and Jupiter

The Queen Reactor is her signature Legendary drop. Its wiki page puts the sell value at 11,000 credits, down from 13,000 in patch 1.17.0, and says it comes from scavenging destroyed Queens or the leg armour segments blown off during the fight — so shooting legs off is not wasted effort even though the core takes more damage.
Its real value is as a crafting part. Both Legendary energy weapons use the same recipe at Gunsmith 3: three Magnetic Accelerators, three Complex Gun Parts and one Queen Reactor. The Equalizer is a fully automatic beam rifle with a 50-round magazine; the Jupiter is a bolt-action sniper the wiki calls the hardest-hitting per-shot weapon in ARC Raiders, with shots that punch through ARC armour and are unaffected by bullet drop. Neither can be upgraded, and both recycle back into two Magnetic Accelerators and a Complex Gun Parts.

You need the blueprints before the reactor is any use. The Harvester containers hold one to three of them, and the wiki also lists the Jupiter blueprint as findable inside the Queen’s core. Everything else she drops is materials: ARC Alloy, ARC Circuitry, Coolant, Flex Rubber, Motion Core, Performance Steel, Synthetic Resin, Thermo Lining, Advanced ARC Powercell, Advanced Electrical and Mechanical Components, Complex Gun Parts and Magnetic Accelerators. If you are chasing blueprints generally, ARC Raiders blueprint locations covers where the rest of them turn up.
Queen health and XP: what is actually confirmed
Very little, and it is worth saying so plainly. Embark has not published the Queen’s health pool or the XP a kill pays. The wiki lists 23,000 health but attaches its own footnote that the value “is currently an estimate; not based on a reliable source,” and gives XP as 1,000 for destroying her, 1,000 for scavenging the core and 500 per leg. PC Gamer, writing in November 2025, quoted roughly 33,000 health and “upwards of 50,000 XP” per kill — but that article was about a Blaze Grenade Trap it described as bugged and doing far more damage than intended, so neither its numbers nor its method should be read as the current state of the game.
Plan ammunition for a long fight rather than to a number.

Which maps does the Queen spawn on?
Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport and The Blue Gate, and only while the Harvester map condition is active. She guards the Harvester at a fixed location on each of those maps.
What is the Queen’s weak point?
The core in the middle of her body, then the leg joints. Both are armoured at the start; shooting her face is the quickest way to strip that armour off.
Can you solo the Queen?
Yes, but it is very hard. GamesRadar describes it as incredibly tough alone and relatively manageable with a competent, well-armed team. Bring armour-piercing weapons, a Heavy Shield, a roof over your head and a Defibrillator for the other solo players you end up fighting alongside.
Do you need to kill her to get the Harvester blueprints?
No. The core activation sequence can be completed while she is alive. Killing her does remove the Electrical Surge, which she triggers.
How much health does the Queen have?
Not confirmed. Embark has not published a figure, and the wiki labels its own 23,000 number an estimate.
Does she always drop the Equalizer or Jupiter blueprint?
No — she guarantees nothing, and two different sources are being mixed up. Finishing the Harvester puzzle opens containers the wiki says hold one to three Equalizer or Jupiter blueprints, so completing it does pay blueprints; which of the two you get is not specified. Killing the Queen is the uncertain half: the wiki lists the Jupiter blueprint as findable in her core and the Queen Reactor as her signature drop, but publishes no rate for either.
Is this the same fight as the Matriarch?
No. Different machine, different map condition, different weak-point advice — see the ARC Raiders Matriarch guide. Trials challenges that ask you to damage “Queens or Matriarchs” accept either, as the Trials Season 5 weekly list showed.
