ARC Raiders Update 2.1.0 went live on October 13, 2026, together with the PvE toggle beta test, which runs until October 20. The update adds the Carrion Set to the store. It also stops stamina consumables from skipping the Sprinting on Fumes penalty, makes opening Frigate hatches inflict burning damage, fixes the Reward Pass not progressing, and makes the Grappling Hook easier to climb with.
When ARC Raiders 2.1.0 and the PvE test went live
Embark posted the Store Update 2.1.0 notes on Steam on October 13, 2026, saying the update “is going live right now and marks the start of the PvE toggle Beta Test”. Its PvE Toggle Beta Test post gives the test window as October 13, 11:00 CEST, to October 20, 11:00 CEST.
| Time zone | PvE test starts | PvE test ends |
|---|---|---|
| CEST (official) | Oct 13, 11:00 | Oct 20, 11:00 |
| UTC | Oct 13, 09:00 | Oct 20, 09:00 |
| ET (US East) | Oct 13, 5:00 AM | Oct 20, 5:00 AM |
| PT (US West) | Oct 13, 2:00 AM | Oct 20, 2:00 AM |
The UTC, ET and PT times are our conversions from Embark’s CEST times. Our ARC Raiders PvE mode guide covers the test rules in full.
PvE toggle rules in Update 2.1.0
Embark lists these changes for PvE servers during the test:
- Zero player-to-player damage. Throwables, including stun and fire items, do not work on other players.
- Barricades, ziplines and other physical interaction items still work as normal.
- Overall loot value in PvE servers is lower.
- Squad separation is not prioritized, so squads of different sizes meet more often.
- Night Raid, Locked Gate, Hidden Bunker, Frigate and Redirection do not offer PvE.
- ARC enemies may re-acquire downed players after an eight-second grace period if they catch you moving.
Embark says it will send a survey after the test and decide from feedback and data whether the toggle becomes permanent.
Gameplay and skill fixes in ARC Raiders 2.1.0
The biggest balance change is to Sprinting on Fumes. Stamina-restoring consumables can no longer be used while its cooldown is active. Embark explains that the penalty after the skill ends is “one of the important balancing considerations”, and items that skipped it “disrupts the intended risk of using the skill”. Fight or Flight also no longer bypasses that penalty.
Several skills that did not work properly were fixed:
- Broad Shoulders now activates on spawn, so you can sprint while inside the raised carry limit.
- Field Repair works right after you unlock it, without restarting the game.
- Field Salvaging shows the right items if unlocked mid-session.
- End-of-round inventory weight now reflects skills like Reduced Weapon Encumbrance and Max Carry Weight.
Our ARC Raiders skill tree guide covers what each of these skills does.

The Grappling Hook got the longest list of fixes. Embark says it is now easier to vault onto ledges and roofs, “especially on Pendola Pass”, and auto-vault triggers more reliably at the top of a climb.

- The hook no longer lets you swing from objects too light to hold your weight.
- It no longer detaches from fast-moving objects like the Ballistic Gondola during lift-off.
- The rope now wraps around geometry while the hook is in flight.
- Grappling Hooks and Tether Launchers now release if you are downed by fall damage.
- At 0 durability they now break instead of being destroyed.
Mobile-Fire Grip Fittings also changed: they now need Skulker Targeters to research, not Skulker Drivers.
Frigate, Emperor and map changes
Frigate hatches now deal burning damage over time when they open. Embark also smoothed collision on Frigate cargo, adjusted the cargo drop to prevent unintended knockouts, and moved spawns during Frigate rounds so players do not start too far from the action.

On the Emperor, unintended interactions between throwables and certain doors are fixed. Our guides to the ARC Frigate and the Emperor Gateway Conduit cover both events.
On Pendola Pass, players can no longer be eliminated while inside the Gondola and extracting. Night lighting on Pendola Pass is now darker, with reduced visibility. Gondola markers now show on the compass and map from 175 metres instead of 120. Embark also lists lower memory use on Spaceport, Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds, especially on Xbox Series S.
Reward Pass, Outpost and quest fixes
After Hotfix 2.0.2, Embark said it was aware that the Reward Pass was not progressing for some players. Update 2.1.0 fixes it, and the end-of-round screen no longer counts milestones from earlier rounds. Our Reward Pass guide covers what it unlocks.
Other fixes in the notes:
- Outpost module recipes no longer stay in the tracker after installing, and the Outpost tab shows an orange marker when a project step completes.
- Visiting loot-icon areas in Pendola Pass now counts for the “Picking Up the Pieces” quest.
- In the Weapon Amplification tree, hovering an upgrade now highlights the path to it. Our weapon amplification guide explains the tree.
- The Hairpin’s Semi-Auto Amplification now deals the reduced headshot damage it was meant to.
The Carrion Set and cosmetic changes
Embark’s notes say “The Carrion Set is available at the store”, without listing a price or its contents.

Players who finished their fifth Expedition but were missing the Zenith Outfit toggles will be granted them. Weapon stencils now show their rarity in the weapon tooltip.
