The Helldivers 2 Ironclad Democracy Warbond released Tuesday September 22, 2026 and costs 1,000 Super Credits (Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 22, 2026). Unlocking all three pages takes 803 medals. Headline items are the AR-11 Arbitrator with an underslung shotgun, the GL-15 Evictor, the P-34 Breacher, two armor sets and three Bastion tank patterns.
Ironclad Democracy Warbond release date, time and cost
Arrowhead’s post says the warbond “rolls onto the Galactic battlefield September 22nd” and gives no time. GamesRadar+ pinned it to the 9AM UTC slot Warbonds normally use (GamesRadar+, September 15, 2026), and on launch day Arrowhead posted the update 7.1.0 patch notes on Steam at 09:00 UTC (Steam, September 22, 2026). The regional times below are converted from 9AM UTC, not published by Arrowhead.

Arrowhead’s PlayStation Blog and Steam posts only say the warbond requires Super Credits; the Helldivers Wiki lists 1,000 SC now that it is live (Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 22, 2026). A Warbond Token unlocks one Premium Warbond instead; tokens come with the Super Citizen Edition or Upgrade and cannot be bought separately (Helldivers Wiki, Warbonds; GamesRadar+, September 4, 2025). Warbonds never expire. The wiki splits the warbond into three pages that hand back 300 Super Credits, 100 per page; page 2 opens after 135 medals spent and page 3 after 225. The wiki’s trivia note adds that this is the first Premium Warbond with two Boosters and the first since Freedom’s Flame with no new Stratagem.
Ironclad Democracy weapons and throwables
- AR-11 Arbitrator (primary): a caseless, electrically fired assault rifle with an underslung shotgun, so two firing modes sit on one primary (PlayStation Blog, September 15, 2026). GamesRadar+ calls the underbarrel shotgun a Helldivers 2 first.
- GL-15 Evictor (primary): a pump-action grenade launcher in the primary slot with a manual single-round reload – precision traded for area damage.
- P-34 Breacher (secondary): a missile pistol firing sticky, phosphorous-fuelled projectiles with an explosive payload.
- G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker (throwable): a smart grenade drone with a high-yield anti-armor payload that homes in on a nearby enemy and detonates on impact.
- G-8 Immolation (throwable): an incendiary that trades the blast for a carpet of fire.
No damage values, magazine sizes, penetration ratings or fire durations have been published for any of them.
Ironclad Democracy armor sets and the Blunt-Force Mitigation passive
Two sets ship with the warbond, each with a matching helmet: the light BFM-16 Tanker with integrated acoustic dampeners, and the heavy BFM-220 Ironclad, built from surplus hull plating with a servo-bracing system and a blast-shield collar. Both carry the new passive, Blunt-Force Mitigation: more resistance to being knocked off your feet, 30% less damage from impacts and collisions, and a higher armor rating than the armor class would normally give (PlayStation Blog, September 15, 2026).
Ironclad Democracy tank patterns for the TD-220 Bastion
The warbond includes three Tank Exclusive Patterns – Verdant Camouflage, Glacial Polymer and Executive Onyx – a Premium Warbond first (PlayStation Blog, September 15, 2026). They are wraps for the TD-220 Bastion Mk XVI specifically (Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 16, 2026), a free Stratagem bought for 35,000 Requisition Slips at Ship Management (GamesRadar+, updated February 4, 2026). No tank, no use for the patterns.
What to unlock first in the Ironclad Democracy Warbond
With the medal costs now listed, this order gets the most out of the early pages:
- Page 1 – AR-11 Arbitrator (35 medals): a primary with its own underslung shotgun, and nothing gates it.
- Armor: both sets share Blunt-Force Mitigation, so the light page 1 Tanker armor (45 medals) gets you the passive before the page 2 Ironclad armor (55 medals).
- Page 2 – Surplus EAT Allocation (55 medals): two free Expendable Anti-Tank uses per mission (PlayStation Blog).
To bank currency: Super Credits spawn at Minor Points of Interest; medals come from missions, Personal Orders and Major Orders, capped at 250 (Helldivers Wiki, Super Credits and Medals).

Is the Ironclad Democracy Warbond out yet?
Yes. Arrowhead announced it on September 15, 2026 and it released on September 22, 2026 (PlayStation Blog; Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 22, 2026).
What time does Ironclad Democracy release?
Arrowhead gave a date but no time. GamesRadar+ expected the usual 9AM UTC Warbond slot (September 15, 2026), and the launch-day update 7.1.0 patch notes went up on Steam at 09:00 UTC (Steam, September 22, 2026) – 2AM PDT, 5AM EDT and 10AM BST.
How much does the Ironclad Democracy Warbond cost?
1,000 Super Credits (Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 22, 2026); Arrowhead’s own posts don’t state a number. One unspent Warbond Token also unlocks it, and Warbonds do not expire.
How many medals do I need in total?
803 medals for all three pages: 182 on page 1, 299 on page 2 and 322 on page 3 (Helldivers Wiki, retrieved September 22, 2026). You can hold only 250 medals at a time, so plan to spend them in several rounds.
Is the light armor called BFM-16 Tanker or BFM-16 Ironclad?
Tanker. Arrowhead’s own post and the wiki both call the light set BFM-16 Tanker; GamesRadar+ lists it as BFM-16 Ironclad, which is the only naming conflict between the sources.
Does Ironclad Democracy add a new Stratagem?
No. The wiki notes it is the first Premium Warbond since Freedom’s Flame without one. The new gear is three weapons, two throwables, two armor sets and two Boosters.
