The MW4 Wager Match event opens Season 1 on November 6, 2026. You earn Trophies, the event currency, in the new Gauntlet 1v1 Gunfight playlist and in DMZ and Warzone challenges, and collecting more unlocks rewards. Those include two Apex Attachments, the Hyeon Auto for the Hyeon Burst and the Kastov 545 for the Kastov 762, plus an Operator Skin, a Blueprint and a camo.

The rules here come from Activision’s Season 1 announcement of October 28. Activision adds that “no money or items of real-world value” are involved: Trophies are an in-game currency only.

How the MW4 Wager Match event works

  • Currency: Trophies. Collecting more of them earns the event rewards, including several Weapon Attachments.
  • Where to earn them: the Gauntlet 1v1 Gunfight playlist in Multiplayer, and event challenges in DMZ and Call of Duty: Warzone.
  • Mastery Rewards: a separate track to chase along the way, with an Operator Skin, a Weapon Blueprint, a Weapon Camo and multiple Apex Attachments.
  • Top three: Activision says the top three winners compete for extra rewards. It does not say what they are ranked on (per match, per lobby or event-wide) or what the extra rewards are.

Season 1, and with it the event, starts at midnight ET on November 6 (9 PM PT on November 5), which is 05:00 UTC on November 6 by our conversion. Activision has not given an end date for the event.

Gauntlet 1v1: wager Trophies, winner stays on

Gauntlet 1v1 is a limited-time variant of 1v1 Gunfight, reached through the Wager Match event. The loop, as Activision describes it:

  1. Wager your Trophies and enter a 1v1 against one opponent.
  2. Eliminate them to win the round.
  3. The winner stays to face the next opponent.
  4. Win multiple matches in a row to claim the wagered reward.

Activision has not published how many Trophies you start with, the minimum wager, how many wins in a row pay out, or what happens to your Trophies if you lose. Treat any numbers you see before November 6 as unconfirmed.

One inconsistency to know about: the event is said to kick off Season 1, but the weapons section of the same post labels both Apex Attachments “In-Season”. They may unlock later in the event rather than on day one. Activision has not clarified.

If Apex Attachments are new to you, our MW4 Apex Attachments guide explains how they work. The other new Season 1 attachments, such as the M16 Burst for the M4, are listed in our MW4 Season 1 weapons guide.

Other MW4 Season 1 events: Joint Fire and Weapon Camo events

Wager Match is the first of several Season 1 events. Two more are named:

  • Joint Fire: you can play it solo, but squadding up activates an XP Boost that grows with squad size. Rewards include Blueprints, Charms, 2XP Tokens and a DMZ Survival Kit. No start date or boost size was given.
  • Weapon Camo events: play matches to earn XP and unlock Weapon Camos.

More events are promised for mid-season. Joint Fire’s 2XP Tokens add to the sources in our free MW4 Double XP tokens list.
