Yes, Verdansk is coming back to Warzone later in MW4 Season 1, with new landmarks including the Signal Station, Grazna-7 Launch Complex, Overlook skyscraper and Drone Labs. Rebirth Island also returns in Season 1. Neither is in the November 6 launch lineup, and Activision has not given a date for either. Hajin and Zodiac are the maps at launch.
Both returns are confirmed in Activision’s Warzone Season 1 overview of November 2, which marks each map “In-Season”. Season 1 also resets Player Level across Multiplayer, DMZ and Warzone, and our MW4 boosting page covers leveling if you want to be ready when they land.
When do Verdansk and Rebirth Island come back?

Season 1 starts at 0000 ET on November 6 (2100 PT on November 5), which is 05:00 UTC on November 6 by our conversion. Activision says a Season 1 Reloaded blog will arrive closer to the mid-season update. Whether either map arrives with that update is not confirmed.

Activision says Verdansk’s skyline now includes four new landmarks:
- the Signal Station;
- the Grazna-7 Launch Complex;
- the Overlook skyscraper;
- the high-tech Drone Labs.
The rest is the map veterans know: frozen forests, industrial sprawl and dense city blocks. Activision has not said where on the map the new landmarks sit or whether older areas were removed. Season 1’s new pushable objects, such as road-blocking pyramids, dumpsters and concrete cylinders, are placed mostly across Hajin, Zodiac and Verdansk.
Which modes use Verdansk
Activision lists Battle Royale and Battle Royale Casual on Hajin and Verdansk. It has not said whether Verdansk rotates with Hajin in one playlist or gets its own. For the launch map, see our Warzone Hajin map guide.
What returns on Rebirth Island
Rebirth Island comes back with its close-quarters fights across the prison, the control center and the industrial compounds around them. Activision mentions repurposed infrastructure, familiar routes, navigable waterways and hidden passages. It does not list new areas for Rebirth.
Which modes use Rebirth Island
- Resurgence and Resurgence Casual: on Zodiac and Rebirth Island.
- Loaded Resurgence: up to 44 players on Zodiac or Rebirth Island. You start with your chosen loadout and keep your equipped weapons after death.

What to do before Verdansk returns
- Level up again. Player Level resets at Season 1 launch, so the time before Verdansk returns is when you rebuild.

Is Verdansk in Warzone on November 6?
