The Battlefield 6 campaign is nine missions long and takes about five to six hours for the story alone. Shacknews timed the missions at 15 to 45 minutes each, about 4 hours 40 minutes in total before deaths and exploring. Collecting all 30 dog tags and completing mission challenges adds time, while a separate Hardcore run requires replaying the campaign. No source below gives a total time for Hardcore.
The campaign is single player. You play members of Dagger 1-3, a Marine Raiders squad, across one continuous story, which EA describes in its first look at the Single Player campaign. Finishing missions also unlocks skins, weapon packages and XP boosters for multiplayer, so the time is not only for the story.
How long is the Battlefield 6 campaign?
Three outlets timed it at launch in October 2025, and they land close together:
| Source | Estimate | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Shacknews | About 5 to 6 hours | Main objectives only |
| GamesRadar+ | 5 to 8 hours | Story, depending on how many retries you need |
| PowerPyx | 4 to 6 hours | Story plus all 30 collectibles, following a location guide |
The sources disagree on collectibles. Shacknews says hunting for every collectible on your own can double or triple the playtime, because some are well hidden. PowerPyx’s trophy roadmap puts the whole run with collectibles at 4 to 6 hours, but that assumes you follow a guide to each one. Both can be true: the gap is the time spent searching.
Shacknews also reported at launch that most in-engine cutscenes could not be skipped, which put a floor under its 2025 mission times. Whether later updates changed that is Not confirmed.

All 9 Battlefield 6 campaign missions and how long each takes
The per-mission times below are Shacknews’s own playthrough estimates from October 2025. It suggests adding five to ten minutes either way for difficulty and exploring. The dog tag counts come from the community-run Battlefield Wiki and match PowerPyx.
| # | Mission | Approx. time (Shacknews) | Collectible dog tags |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Always Faithful | 25 minutes | 3 |
| 2 | The Rock | 25 minutes | 3 |
| 3 | Operation Gladius | 25 minutes | 3 |
| 4 | Night Raid | 35 minutes | 4 |
| 5 | No Sleep | 35 minutes | 3 |
| 6 | Moving Mountains | 35 minutes | 4 |
| 7 | Nile Guard | 15 minutes | 2 |
| 8 | Operation Ember Strike | 45 minutes | 4 |
| 9 | Always Forward | 40 minutes | 4 |
| Total | 280 minutes (4 h 40 min) | 30 |
Nile Guard is the short one and Operation Ember Strike is the long one. GamesRadar+ says the same: under twenty minutes for Nile Guard, and close to an hour or more for Ember Strike if you struggle with it.

BF6 Campaign BoostIf you'd rather not play it yourself: nine missions, about five to six hours for the story, plus optional replays for missed mission challenges. From $5.99View offerWhat do you get for finishing the Battlefield 6 campaign?
The rewards below come from the community-run Battlefield Wiki’s list of campaign assignments, not from an EA page. Each mission gives one or more multiplayer rewards when you finish it.
| Finish this mission | Reward (Battlefield Wiki) |
|---|---|
| Always Faithful | Infiltrator player card title |
| The Rock | Standard Issue Espada skin for Recon |
| Operation Gladius | Raging Waters player card background |
| Night Raid | Standard Issue Desert Locusts skin for Support |
| No Sleep | Home Invasion player card background |
| Moving Mountains | Shield Bearer player card title |
| Nile Guard | Standard Issue Desert Locusts skin for Assault |
| Operation Ember Strike | Standard Issue Espada skin for Engineer |
| Always Forward | Bighorn HK-16 and the RPKM Carnivore weapon package |
| All missions on Hardcore | Elegant Ballistics weapon package (B36A3 per EA, B36A4 per the wiki) |

Five more rewards come from playing any mission a certain way:
- Finish a mission without firing a gun (melee, grenades and gadgets only): Polar Nexus weapon camo
- Finish a mission without needing a revive: Deadheader player card title
- Finish a mission using only a pistol: 60 minute Hardware XP Booster
- Finish a mission with 30 headshots: Breach player card background
- Finish a mission with 10 melee kills: Safeties On player card icon
The 30 dog tags have their own reward track, one per mission plus the Winner Take All dog tag for the full set. Our Battlefield 6 dog tags guide lists every one of those rewards.
Battlefield 6 Hardcore difficulty, trophy and completion reward
EA’s official campaign guide lists four difficulty settings. The main difference is how many defibrillator charges you carry for revives during a mission:
| Difficulty | Revive charges | Other changes (EA) |
|---|---|---|
| Recruit | Up to 3 | Fastest health regeneration; enemies deal less damage and take more |
| Normal | Up to 2 | Standard health regeneration and damage |
| Veteran | 1 | Slower health regeneration; enemies deal more damage and take less |
| Hardcore | None | Slower regeneration than Veteran; enemies deal significantly more damage than on Veteran |
On Hardcore there are no revives at all, none at the start of a mission and none to find on the map. PowerPyx adds that Hardcore can be picked from the first mission and that going down sends you back to the last checkpoint. No source gives a timed Hardcore run, so any hour figure for it is Not confirmed.
Two different rewards depend on it, and they ask for different amounts:
- Peak Performance (gold trophy, 50G): finish one mission on the hardest difficulty.
- Elegant Ballistics weapon package: unlocked by beating all missions on Hardcore, according to EA.
The two sources name the gun differently. EA’s guide calls the reward the Elegant Ballistics package for the B36A3 assault rifle, while the community-run Battlefield Wiki lists it as B36A4 Elegant Ballistics. Check the in-game Challenge menu for the exact name.
Taken together, the two requirements mean a first playthrough done entirely on Hardcore should satisfy both. If you already finished on a lower setting, the weapon package means replaying every mission.
Battlefield 6 campaign trophies for each mission
Each mission also has one challenge trophy or achievement. PowerPyx’s trophy roadmap lists all nine, and the Battlefield Wiki’s achievement list matches it. PowerPyx’s collectibles guide says nothing is missable because missions can be replayed from the main menu.
| Mission | Trophy | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Always Faithful | End of an Era | Find the dinosaur figurine in the NATO base |
| The Rock | Efficiency | Destroy 10 mannequins |
| Operation Gladius | Deep-Six | Destroy 3 floating mines |
| Night Raid | Sidearm Savant | Finish it using only pistols, knives or gadgets |
| No Sleep | Looks Like A Nail | Kill five enemies with a sledgehammer |
| Moving Mountains | Bullseye Blitz | Land six consecutive headshots |
| Nile Guard | Roadside Assistance | Collapse an overpass on a tank |
| Operation Ember Strike | Being Watched | Spot 20 enemies with your drone |
| Always Forward | No Reinforcements | Shoot down the reinforcement chopper with a tank |
A pistol-only Night Raid run appears to meet the wording of both Sidearm Savant and the pistol-only assignment above, but whether both unlock together is Not confirmed. PowerPyx notes that the RPG you are pointed to at the end of Night Raid does not void the trophy. Three more campaign trophies sit outside the mission list. Liquidator (50 headshot kills) and Armor Annihilation (10 enemy vehicles destroyed) add up across the campaign, while One Stone needs three enemies with a single grenade.

Battlefield 6 campaign and trophy services
The story, the 30 dog tags, the nine mission trophies and Hardcore completion are four separate objectives, but several can overlap in the same playthrough. If you want the multiplayer rewards without replaying missions, these are the Battlefield 6 boosting services that cover them.
