Fortnite V-Bucks Prices 2026: Every Pack and What It Buys

Fortnite V-Bucks prices in 2026, after Epic’s March 19 increase: 800 V-Bucks for $8.99, 2,400 for $22.99, 4,500 for $36.99 and 12,500 for $89.99 in US dollars. That works out to between $1.12 and $0.72 per 100 V-Bucks. The Battle Pass costs 800 V-Bucks, so the smallest pack covers exactly one pass.

Fortnite V-Bucks prices in 2026: all four standard packs plus the Exact Amount Pack

These are Epic’s own numbers. Its V-Bucks price increase post lists the packs that apply from March 19, 2026, and notes that the dollar prices are US values and other regions get regional prices. The last column is our arithmetic from Epic’s figures, rounded to the cent.

The dollar prices did not move. Epic kept each price point and cut the V-Bucks inside it, which is why older guides that mention 1,000 or 2,800 V-Bucks packs no longer match the shop. Epic’s stated reason, in its own words, was that “the cost of running Fortnite has gone up a lot and we’re raising prices to help pay the bills.”

One thing did not change: Epic’s FAQ confirms that existing V-Bucks gift cards still redeem at their printed values. V-Bucks themselves cannot be sent to another account; our guide on how to gift skins in Fortnite covers what can be.

How much the 2026 V-Bucks price increase costs per pack

Epic removed a different share of V-Bucks from each pack, so the increase is not the same size on every pack. Measured as cost per V-Buck, again from Epic’s figures:

The smallest pack took the largest hit, and it is the pack that matches the Battle Pass price. Among Epic’s four packs, the 12,500 pack now has the lowest cost per V-Buck: 36% less per V-Buck than the 800 pack. That only helps if you will actually spend 12,500 V-Bucks.

What V-Bucks buy: Battle Pass, Battle Bundle and the other passes

The same Epic post reset what the passes cost, so the pack sizes and the pass prices line up again.

The Battle Bundle is the awkward one. At 2,600 V-Bucks it sits 200 above the $22.99 pack, so a single pack that covers it is the $36.99 one. The other route is a $22.99 pack plus an $8.99 pack, which gives 3,200 V-Bucks for $31.98.

The Battle Pass also pays less back than it used to. Epic says it now awards 800 V-Bucks for completing it, enough for the next pass, and that there are no longer V-Bucks in the Bonus Rewards; before the change you could earn 1,000 plus 500. Our guide to free V-Bucks in Fortnite covers every way to earn them, and how to level up the Battle Pass fast covers getting those 800 back before the season ends.

Fortnite Crew is the subscription alternative. Epic’s Fortnite Crew page lists it at $11.99 a month, with 800 V-Bucks and access to the Battle Pass, OG Pass, LEGO Pass and Music Pass while the subscription is active. Compared with buying the $8.99 pack and spending its 800 V-Bucks on the Battle Pass, Crew costs $3 more for that month and leaves you with the 800-V-Buck grant. See our Fortnite Crew guide for this month’s pack and what you keep if you cancel.

Epic Rewards: 20% back when you buy V-Bucks through Epic

Where you pay changes the real cost. Epic gives 20% back in Epic Rewards on Fortnite purchases, V-Bucks included, when they are made through the Epic Games Store or Epic’s payment system on PC, iOS, Android and the web. Its May 9, 2025 store post introduced the rate, and the price increase post lists the amount for each pack:

Two limits apply. Epic Rewards are store credit, not cash and not V-Bucks: Epic says the credit can be used in Fortnite, other Epic games or the Epic Games Store when you check out with Epic’s payment system. And the platforms Epic names are PC, iOS, Android and the web; purchases through a console’s own store are not on that list. The last column is our arithmetic and treats the credit as if it were money off, which is only true if you spend it.

Do V-Bucks transfer between platforms?

Mostly, with one clear exception. Epic’s help article on why V-Bucks do not all transfer across platforms says most platforms support the Fortnite Shared Wallet, and its examples show V-Bucks bought on PC or PlayStation appearing on Xbox, PlayStation, PC and Android.

• Nintendo Switch is separate. V-Bucks purchased on Nintendo Switch are not shared with other platforms and cannot be used in the Fortnite Web Shop, and V-Bucks bought elsewhere do not show up on Switch.
• Earned V-Bucks go everywhere. V-Bucks earned through Fortnite Passes, Quest Packs or Save the World are shared across all platforms, Switch included.
• Items follow your account. Anything you buy with V-Bucks is available on every platform where you play Fortnite.
• Korea is an exception on PC. For players in Korea, V-Bucks purchased on PC are not shared with other platforms.

The article says “Nintendo Switch” and does not mention Switch 2 by name, so whether Switch 2 purchases follow the same rule is not confirmed. You can see your balance per platform on Epic’s In-Game Currency page in your account settings.

Frequently asked questions

How much are 1,000 V-Bucks in 2026?

Epic no longer sells a 1,000 V-Bucks pack. Since March 19, 2026 the $8.99 pack holds 800 V-Bucks. At the 800-pack rate, 1,000 V-Bucks works out to about $11.24.

How much is the Fortnite Battle Pass in real money?

The Battle Pass costs 800 V-Bucks, which is exactly the $8.99 pack in the US. Completing the pass awards 800 V-Bucks back.

Which V-Bucks pack is the best value?

Among Epic’s four standard packs, the 12,500 pack at $89.99 costs the least per V-Buck: about $0.72 per 100 V-Bucks against $1.12 for the 800 pack. It is only better value if you will use that many.

Did V-Bucks gift cards lose value in the price increase?

No. Epic says existing V-Bucks gift cards still redeem at their printed values.

Are V-Bucks prices the same in every country?

No. Epic’s table gives US dollar prices and says other regions use regional values. Check the in-game shop for your local price.

Can I use V-Bucks bought on PlayStation on my Nintendo Switch?

No. Epic says purchased V-Bucks are not shared between Nintendo Switch and other platforms. The items you buy with them are available everywhere.
