MW4 DMZ Dynamic Ops are multi-step squad objectives in Hajin. You start one from the Dynamic Operations deployment or from a Dynamic Ops phone in the field. Each completed op pays DMZ XP and DMZ Cash, 10,000 to 20,000 since the October 30 update, plus a Supply Drop that improves from Common to Uncommon to Rare with each success in a deployment.

This guide covers how to start a Dynamic Op, what each one pays, the ops identified so far, and how they differ from Side Ops. The cash numbers come from the MW4 launch patch notes; our MW4 October 30 update breakdown covers the rest of that patch.

What MW4 DMZ Dynamic Ops are

Activision’s first DMZ deep dive describes Dynamic Operations as “multi-step objectives generated for each match”, ranging from shutting down abandoned weapons programs and securing critical assets to rescue operations and assaults on hostile forces. The narration in the official DMZ Dynamic Ops trailer (Call of Duty, October 6, 2026) sums them up as destroying key targets, securing items or assassinating Lieutenants.

The same op name has appeared in more than one place: the trailer shows Chemical Denial at the Tank Depot, while the October 23 patch notes mention a Chemical Denial fix at NuriGO Mall.

How to start a Dynamic Op in MW4 DMZ

There are two ways in, both described in Activision’s DMZ guides:

  1. Dynamic Operations deployment. Pick Dynamic Operations instead of Story Missions or Free Roam at the Deploy station in the FOB. Activision’s FOB guide says this lets you “deploy directly into a Dynamic Op”.
  2. Dynamic Ops phone. Find a Dynamic Ops phone in Hajin to start one during any deployment, according to Activision’s Tour of Hajin guide.

Before a Dynamic Operations or Free Roam deployment you also choose how to infil. The FOB guide lists these options and costs:

InfilCostWhat you get
GroundFreeSquad starts on foot in a random part of Hajin
Polaris Dagor A15,000 DMZ CashLightly armored vehicle air-dropped to you
LTV25,000 DMZ CashHeavily armored vehicle air-dropped to you
Helicopter50,000 DMZ CashOne squadmate pilots a helicopter in
Cargo Plane100,000 DMZ CashYou choose the exact spot to drop into

The FOB guide says the vehicle infils also need Story Mission unlocks, not only the cash.

Dynamic Ops rewards: XP, Cash and Supply Drops

RewardWhat it isSource
DMZ XPPaid for every completed op; amount not publishedTour of Hajin guide
DMZ Cash10,000 to 20,000 per op since October 30 (5,000 to 10,000 before)Patch notes, October 30
Supply DropArrives after each completed op; loot quality rises from Common to Uncommon to Rare with each success in the same deployment, and the contents varyTour of Hajin guide

Activision’s After Action Report explainer says the DMZ Cash you earn from Operations is placed into your Bank. Activision describes the After Action Report and Bank payout after both successful and unsuccessful exfils, but does not specify whether all Dynamic Op cash is retained or when it is deposited. The community site CODMunity, citing the YouTuber JGOD, says each op’s cash reaches your Bank as soon as you finish it, even if your squad is wiped later; that is a single community source and we have not confirmed it.

The October 23 patch notes also fixed “the displayed requirement for completing a Dynamic Operation in under 8 minutes”. That shows there is a time-based requirement linked to Dynamic Ops, but the notes do not say what it rewards, so treat it as not confirmed.

MW4 Dynamic Ops identified so far

Activision has not published a full list of Dynamic Ops. So far there are three named ops in official posts and patch notes, one objective type the patch notes describe without a name, and one op that only appears in a community write-up of the trailer.

Dynamic OpWhat we knowSource
Chemical DenialThe trailer shows its objective “Investigate the Power Outage” at the Tank Depot; the patch notes also place it at NuriGO Mall. CODMunity says it leads to Lieutenant BaleOfficial trailer (0:49 and 0:59); patch notes, October 23; CODMunity (community)

Lieutenants and Dog Tags in the Dynamic Ops trailer

In the trailer, the Chemical Denial objective is on screen in the Tank Depot at the same time as Lieutenant Bale’s name tag, and a separate Side Op reads “Paid Intel: Kill Bale”. The trailer does not say in words whether Bale is part of Chemical Denial; CODMunity’s write-up says the op leads to him. The narration says Lieutenants are protected by specialized units, that Hunt towers help you find them, and that carrying a Lieutenant’s Dog Tags after the kill makes you a target for every rival squad nearby. The FOB guide adds that picking up a Lieutenant’s Dog Tag Case broadcasts your position, so an immediate exfil matters.

Hunt Operators: what to expect

Activision’s only description of this op is a warning that you will face “a full squad of rival Operators”. It does not say whether those are AI or other players, so that is not confirmed.

Dynamic Ops vs Side Ops in MW4 DMZ

  • Dynamic Ops are multi-step objectives that pay DMZ XP, 10,000 to 20,000 Cash and a Supply Drop.
  • Side Ops are lower-intensity tasks: finding lost Supply Drops, repairing trucks, or climbing damaged radio towers and Lieutenant Hunt towers to reveal a nearby Lieutenant. Since October 30 they pay 2,000 Cash, up from 500, according to the patch notes.

Both count toward your DMZ level. Our DMZ level unlocks guide lists what each level gives, and the DMZ Season 1 X01 guide covers the new zone and bosses arriving on November 6.

Frequently asked questions

How much Cash does a Dynamic Op pay in MW4 DMZ?

10,000 to 20,000 DMZ Cash per completed op since the October 30 update. Before that it was 5,000 to 10,000.

How do you start a Dynamic Op?

Choose the Dynamic Operations deployment at the FOB’s Deploy station, or find a Dynamic Ops phone in Hajin during a deployment.

Do Supply Drops get better?

Yes. Each successful op in the same deployment raises the Supply Drop’s loot quality, from Common to Uncommon to Rare. The contents still vary.

Is there a full list of Dynamic Ops?

Not from Activision. Three ops are named in official posts and patch notes: Chemical Denial, Hunt Operators and Broken Resupply. The patch notes also describe an unnamed objective to find keypad codes in safes, and a community write-up adds Dead Man’s Cache.

Do you keep Dynamic Op cash if you die?

Not fully confirmed. Activision describes the After Action Report and Bank payout after both successful and unsuccessful exfils, but does not specify whether all Dynamic Op cash is retained or when it is deposited. One community source says the cash is kept.
