Battlefield 6 Season 5 added four weapons on October 13, 2026: the Mk 24 assault rifle, RSPR, Z84M light machine gun and ELR-40 sniper rifle. EA says they are earned through the Season 5 Battle Pass. A launch-day Gfinity report puts the Mk 24, RSPR and Z84M at Tier 11 of three different paths and the ELR-40 at Tier 5 of the Recruit path.

Battlefield 6 Season 5 weapon unlock list

EA’s Game Update 2.1.1.0 notes say the Season 5 Battle Pass has six instant unlocks, four themed paths, more than 100 tiers and “a new arsenal of hardware to earn”. EA has not published which tier holds which gun.

The tiers below come from a single media report, Gfinity Esports, published on launch day. We have not found a second source that lists them, and The Click noted on the same day that EA’s notes give no per-weapon unlock route.

Gfinity also reports that all four are free and do not require a purchase. If that is right, you need Battle Pass progress, not Battlefield Pro.

How fast you can reach Tier 11

EA has not published how much XP each Battle Pass tier needs, so we cannot give a time to Tier 11.

Battlefield Pro includes 25 Tier Skips and a 15% XP boost. The XP boost speeds Battle Pass progression, but EA has not explained whether the skips can be applied directly to the themed paths containing these weapons.

EA describes Battlefield Pro as a 15% XP boost, compared with 10% for the standard paid Battle Pass. Steam markets the difference as “+5% extra XP”, so the two figures describe the same upgrade rather than conflicting totals.

Our guide to the Season 5 release date and roadmap covers the rest of the Battle Pass.

What each Season 5 weapon does

These descriptions come from EA’s Season 5 roadmap and the 2.1.1.0 notes. EA has not released damage or fire-rate numbers.

Mk 24 assault rifle

A lower-capacity assault rifle that trades magazine size for consistent performance and high damage at range. EA describes a steady rate of fire built for precise players.

RSPR

The roadmap calls it an SMG, while the 2.1.1.0 notes call it a Personal Defence Weapon. It fires a rifle cartridge, has a smaller magazine and heavier recoil, and EA places it between the SG 553R and SCW-10 in performance.

Z84M light machine gun

A belt-fed LMG with a 100-round box magazine, high damage and a high rate of fire. EA calls it a close-range powerhouse with significant recoil and handling trade-offs. Our best LMG guide covers the older options.

ELR-40 sniper rifle

EA says the ELR-40 has the best bullet drag performance and the furthest sweet spot in its weapon archetype. A custom single-shot ammunition option moves that sweet spot to close range. EA points to the open sightlines of the new Area 51 map as where it fits.

More Season 5 weapons coming later

EA’s roadmap graphic shows more hardware in the two later drops. Unlock methods for these have not been announced.
