Black Ops 7 Season 6 adds one new Zombies map, Tenshu, and it is a Survival map, not a round-based one (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026). The rest of the Zombies drop is Directed Mode and Starting Room for Rex Infernus, a Rogue Run overhaul with pumpkin-headed zombies, T.E.D.D. Trials in Multiplayer, and a Super Easter Egg that unlocks The Warden.

What is new in Black Ops 7 Season 6 Zombies

Everything below lands at launch on September 17, 2026, alongside the rest of Season 6: The Haunting (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026):

  • Tenshu, a new Survival map inside Kowakujō’s central keep, with round-milestone rewards.
  • Directed Mode and Starting Room for Rex Infernus, the final round-based map of this game.
  • Rogue Run: three new pedestal rewards, Casual and Hardcore playlists for Paradox Junction and Kowakujō, and pumpkin-headed zombies across every playlist for The Haunting.
  • T.E.D.D. Trials, a 6v6 Multiplayer mode played on three Zombies locations.
  • The Super Easter Egg, for players who have finished every round-based Main Quest.

Zombies also carries part of the season’s camo grind: the Camo Costume Party event’s Weapon Class Camo Challenges span Multiplayer, Zombies, Endgame and Warzone, and the announcement urges players to cover all four; whether each mode is strictly required is not listed yet. The nine event camos include “Zombie Mai Tai”.

Tenshu: the new Black Ops 7 Zombies Survival map

Tenshu drops the crew into the Masaki family’s ancestral castle, a confined section of Kowakujō built around the Tenshu Entrance, Onsen Baths, War Room, Storage Rooms and Workshop. You fight shambling samurai alongside Hellhounds, Oni and the usual undead while scavenging Perks, the Mystery Box, the Arsenal, Wall Buys and a GobbleGum Machine. Survive as long as you can, or Exfil out (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026).

The Call of Duty Wiki lists Tenshu as playable in both Survival and Cursed Survival, and as a location that already exists inside the Kowakujō round-based map (Call of Duty Wiki, checked September 16, 2026).

Rex Infernus Directed Mode and Starting Room

Directed Mode puts the Main Quest on screen as step-by-step objectives and caps rounds at 15, so the horde never outpaces you while you learn the route. Rex Infernus is the map where the crew crashes into the Warden’s stronghold to stop universal destruction, facing Deathspinners, the Web Mother and other threats, with the new Titan Trap and the Warden’s Blight Wonder Weapon on hand. Finishing the quest on Directed Mode pays out the “Netherclaw” Warden’s Blight Weapon Skin, the “Rex Infernus Directed Mode Completion” Calling Card and 5,000 XP (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026).

Starting Room is the opposite challenge: you never leave the House. You hold the two-story building — upstairs bedrooms, downstairs fireplace and dining room — with only the Mystery Box, the Warden 308 and Coda 9 Wall Buys, Quick Revive and a GobbleGum Machine. Rewards are the “Round Off” GobbleGum at Round 10, “Armor Gettin'” at Round 20 and “Fully Packed” at Round 30, each with 1,000 to 5,000 XP.

Rogue Run update: new pedestal rewards, playlists and pumpkin zombies

Rogue Run gets its biggest update of the year. Three new pedestal upgrades appear as your Relic Tier climbs: Pack-a-Punch Tier IV, an Ultra-Rarity weapon upgrade, and Golden Armor, whose plates regenerate on their own over time. All three show up across every Rogue Run playlist (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026).

Two maps also get their own Casual and Hardcore playlists: Paradox Junction and Kowakujō. Casual milestones sit at Rounds 15 and 20 plus five rounds at Relic Tier I; Hardcore pushes to Rounds 20 and 30 plus fifteen rounds at Relic Tier III, and pays Calling Cards (“Makeshift Defense” on Paradox Junction, “Golden Opportunity” on Kowakujō) instead of a third GobbleGum.

For The Haunting, pumpkin-headed zombies turn up across all Rogue Run playlists, together with pumpkin pedestal rewards filled with treats.

T.E.D.D. Trials: Zombies maps in Multiplayer

T.E.D.D. Trials is a Multiplayer limited-time mode, not a Zombies mode, but it is where Zombies locations show up: 6v6 on Roadkill, Inferno and Lost, the first time Zombies maps come to Multiplayer in Black Ops 7. A random set of five trials cycles, Ray Guns are in play, and the first team to the score limit — or the highest score at the time limit — wins (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026). Multiplayer also gets Hordepoint, where the horde fights for whoever holds the objective.

Black Ops 7 Season 6 Super Easter Egg and The Warden reward

Activision’s wording is exact: players who have completed every Main Quest across all of Black Ops 7’s round-based Zombies maps should watch for something new at the launch of the season, and the new rewards include access to The Warden as an unlockable Operator. The blog deliberately keeps the rest a secret — “No spoilers…” (Call of Duty blog, September 8, 2026).

That is the only prerequisite Activision has confirmed so far; the in-game claim steps are not announced. It helps to know which maps are round-based. Per the Call of Duty Wiki’s map list for Black Ops 7 (checked September 16, 2026), the round-based Zombies maps are:

Round-based mapAdded in
Ashes of the DamnedLaunch
Astra MalorumSeason 1
Paradox JunctionSeason 2
TotenreichSeason 3
KowakujōSeason 4
Rex InfernusSeason 5

The other Zombies maps — Exit 115, Zarya Cosmodrome, Mars, Ashwood, Nuked, Eidskallen Lighthouse and now Tenshu — are Survival maps with no Main Quest, so they are not part of that list. Rex Infernus is the last round-based map Black Ops 7 will get, which is why its Directed Mode arriving in the same update matters: it is the guided route through the final quest on the list.

Black Ops 7 Season 6 Zombies boosting services

Season 6’s camo event spans four modes, and the Super Easter Egg checks a full set of Main Quest completions. If you would rather spend the season playing Tenshu than repeating quests:

Frequently asked questions

Is there a new Zombies map in Black Ops 7 Season 6?

Yes — Tenshu, but it is a Survival map. Season 6 adds no new round-based map; Rex Infernus, from Season 5, is the final round-based map for Black Ops 7.

What do you need for the Black Ops 7 Season 6 Super Easter Egg?

You must have completed every Main Quest across all of Black Ops 7’s round-based Zombies maps: Ashes of the Damned, Astra Malorum, Paradox Junction, Totenreich, Kowakujō and Rex Infernus. Survival maps do not count.

How do you unlock The Warden as an Operator?

The Warden is listed among the new rewards for players who meet that Super Easter Egg requirement at the launch of Season 6. Activision has not published the in-game steps, so treat any step-by-step guide before September 17 as unconfirmed.

Does Directed Mode on Rex Infernus count for the Super Easter Egg?

Not confirmed. Activision says the requirement is completing every round-based Main Quest and lists a separate reward set for finishing Rex Infernus on Directed Mode, but it has not said whether a Directed Mode completion satisfies the Super Easter Egg check.

What are the pumpkin zombies in Season 6?

Pumpkin-headed zombies appear across all Rogue Run playlists as part of The Haunting, along with pumpkin pedestal rewards. Warzone has its own trick-or-treat pumpkins on Haunted Hollow.

Is Tenshu playable in Cursed?

The Call of Duty Wiki lists Tenshu as playable in Survival and Cursed Survival. The announcement itself only describes the standard Survival experience with Exfil.
