Where do I find my Epic Games display name?

Your display name is the name other Fortnite players see. We use it to add you as a friend — for Item Shop gifts that is all we need.

In Fortnite

  1. Open Fortnite and go to the lobby.
  2. Your display name is shown with your profile at the top of the screen.

Type it exactly, including capital letters and numbers.

On the web

Sign in at epicgames.com and open Account. Your display name is on the account settings page, where you can copy it exactly.

Watch out for

  • Gifts need a waiting period. Epic only lets friends gift each other after they have been friends for a while, and both accounts need two-factor authentication turned on. The Item Shop gift page says how long.
  • Boosting and top-ups are different. Those are done on your account, so support asks for your login in the secure box on your order ticket.
