Black Ops 7 Endgame is the replayable co-op mode set in Avalon, open to every owner since November 21, 2025 with no campaign required. You play in squads of up to four among up to 32 players, raise a Combat Rating that caps at 60, and exfil to keep it. It unlocks a camo track ending in Genesis, its own Calling Cards, and Season 06’s Heatsync launcher.
What Black Ops 7 Endgame is and how to unlock it

Endgame is what Treyarch calls the “replayable Campaign Mode that’s much more than an epilogue”. JSOC keeps pushing into Avalon after the story ends, clearing The Guild’s remaining Command Centers while exposure zones leak a toxin into the city. Activision’s Endgame intel post describes it as a 1 to 32 player mode in squads of up to four, with escalating zones across one large map, Skill Tracks, Combat Ratings and dynamic Assignments.
At launch you had to finish the first 11 co-op campaign missions first. That gate is gone: the November 21, 2025 patch notes made Endgame “available for all players who own Call of Duty: Black Ops 7”. If you own the game, it is in the Campaign menu now.
Every drop follows the same loop. Pick one of four Operator slots (each slot is its own power journey), build a loadout, wingsuit into Avalon, take on Assignments, Activities and World Events, then reach a VTOL before the match timer runs out. You are meant to team up with other squads for the harder zones; the map is shared, not instanced per squad.
Combat Rating, Skill Tracks and exfil: how Endgame progression works
Your Combat Rating (CR) is the mode’s power level. It goes up as you complete objectives, find intel and destroy enemies, and it tops out at CR 60. Each time it rises you choose one of two Skill Tracks or Skills, and those choices stack across matches. The six Skill Tracks are Gunner, Surgeon, Daredevil, Tactician, Berserker and Bulldozer.
An Endgame loadout has four parts: a main weapon, a melee weapon, a Field Acquisition (a weapon you found in a previous match and exfilled with) and a piece of Field Equipment. You also pick a Major and a Minor Ability, such as the Ballistic Shell or the Grappling Hook. Workbenches around Avalon raise a weapon’s rarity, which raises its damage.
You have to exfil to bank that run’s Combat Rating and the loadout you carried out. Global XP, weapon levels and Battle Pass progress are not at risk, but if you fall in combat or fail to escape, the run’s Combat Rating progress is gone. The preseason notes added one safety net: your CR is snapshotted when you deploy, so a disconnect puts you back at the rating you entered with instead of zero. Season 01 also set an expectation for World Events: Treyarch advised being at least CR 45 before taking on the Colossus of Avalon.
Global progression runs in the background the whole time. Player level, Prestige and weapon levels advance in Endgame exactly as they do in Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone, and Daily and Weekly Challenges have Endgame versions. If your real goal is player rank rather than Combat Rating, Black Ops 7 bot lobbies are a separate service for that.

Endgame has its own camo track: nine Military and three Special camos per weapon, then four Mastery camos. Each Mastery tier has a gate you clear before its challenge even appears, which is the part most camo lists leave out. Both halves below are from Activision’s progression intel blast.
| Mastery camo | Gate you clear first | Then, on that weapon |
|---|---|---|
| Molten Gold | All nine Military and three Special camos on the weapon | Eliminate 20 Special enemies |
| Moonstone | Molten Gold on every weapon in that class (all Assault Rifles, all Sniper Rifles, and so on) | In Endgame, eliminate 100 Zone III or Zone IV enemies |
| Chroma Flux | Moonstone on 30 weapons | In Endgame, eliminate 10 Elite enemies |
| Genesis | Chroma Flux on that weapon | No challenge: it unlocks once Chroma Flux is on 30 total weapons |
Zone III and Zone IV are the higher-difficulty zones of Avalon, named in Activision’s own Moonstone challenge text; Activision has not published what separates them from the lower zones.
Military camos in co-op are earned with Critical Kills, and you need all nine Military plus three Special camos on a weapon before its Mastery challenges open. Weapons level up wherever you use them, so a gun you maxed in Multiplayer still needs its Endgame camo kills done in Avalon.
Endgame Calling Cards, Dark Ops and the final Operator skin

Co-op Campaign has three Calling Card categories: Career, Endgame and Dark Ops. Career and Endgame are split into sets; finishing every challenge in a set gives an animated Master Calling Card, and clearing every card in the mode earns its “100 Percenter” card. Dark Ops is different: there are no sets, and the challenge text only appears after you complete it. Dark Ops cards do not count toward the 100 Percenter, so you can finish the mode without ever discovering them.
Season 06 added one new Dark Ops Challenge in each mode with a new Calling Card, plus five final Prestige Title Challenges. One of them, Private Eye, requires collecting all Intel across Co-Op, Endgame and Zombies. The Season 06 announcement also says “a final unlockable Endgame Operator Skin waits in the wings for those who’ve done it all in Avalon”. Activision has not published the exact requirement for that skin, and how the Dark Ops challenges have been solved by the community is a separate topic.
Endgame in Season 06: Avalon Night and the Forbidden Summoning

Season 06, The Haunting, launched on September 17, 2026 and changed Avalon in two ways, per the Season 06 patch notes. Avalon Night makes the whole map a night-time landscape where Fears, Guild opponents and other obstacles hunt squads in the dark. The Forbidden Summoning World Event asks you to unlock seals and free “an ancient threat”; it is the only World Event running for the first week of the season, after which it joins the normal rotation.
Completing the Forbidden Summoning is how you get the new Heatsync Exotic launcher. Endgame also feeds the season’s Camo Costume Party event: the Arcblade melee weapon and nine new camos require Weapon Class Camo Challenges in all four modes, Endgame included. For the rest of the season’s content see the Season 6 overview. With Modern Warfare 4 arriving on October 23, 2026, what carries forward from Black Ops 7 sets out what Activision has confirmed about the move.

Do I have to finish the campaign to play Endgame?
No. Since the November 21, 2025 update Endgame is open to everyone who owns Black Ops 7. Before that it unlocked after the 11 story missions.
What is the max Combat Rating?
60. Activision’s Endgame post says Skills keep expanding “to the max level of 60”, and the preseason notes describe CR 60 as the target players are reaching for.
Do I lose everything if I die?
The preseason notes say you lose the run’s Combat Rating progress if you fall in combat or fail to escape. A disconnect is handled differently: you restart at the rating you had when the match began.
Does Endgame progress count toward Prestige and weapon levels?
Yes. Black Ops 7 shares player XP, Prestige, weapon levels and Battle Pass progress across Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies and Warzone.
Can I get Genesis without playing Endgame?
No. Moonstone and Chroma Flux both require Endgame kills, and Genesis only unlocks once Chroma Flux is on 30 weapons.
How do I unlock the final Endgame Operator skin?
Not confirmed. Activision’s Season 06 post only says it is for “those who’ve done it all in Avalon”.
