When Does MW4 Come to Warzone? November 6, With Season 1

Modern Warfare 4 comes to Warzone with Season 1 on November 6, 2026. Activision confirmed that Warzone integration arrives in MW4 Season 1, and Infinity Ward’s roadmap dates Season 1 for both games on November 6. Your old Operators, skins and blueprints stay usable, but weapon camos from older games do not. Warzone also stops working on PS4 and Xbox One at the same point.

When does MW4 come to Warzone?

Activision’s Warzone platform update says Modern Warfare 4 launches “with the integration of Call of Duty: Warzone coming in Season 1”. Infinity Ward’s official roadmap on X then puts Season 1 on November 6, 2026, with the MW4 and Warzone logos side by side.

So MW4 weapons, Operators and progression join Warzone on November 6. No start time has been announced. Until then, Warzone still runs on Black Ops 7 Season 6 content. Our MW4 Season 1 release date guide covers everything else on the roadmap.

What changes in Warzone with MW4 Season 1

Activision explained the plan in a September 24, 2026 blog post, Warzone Season 1 Adds a New Operator Skin Toggle. The main points:

• A new Operator Skin toggle. When it is on, any Operator or skin from another Call of Duty game that another player has equipped shows up as an MW4 Operator instead. That covers enemies, squadmates and party members. Your own equipped Operator does not change. The toggle only affects your game, and it is off by default.
• Old Operators stay, old camos do not. Operators, Operator skins and weapon blueprints from Modern Warfare II, Modern Warfare III, Black Ops 6 and Black Ops 7 remain available in Warzone. A correction at the top of Activision's post says weapon camos from those games will not be available.
• Legacy weapons move to a Legacy tab. They stay in the Loadout menu, but Gunsmith and your old custom loadouts no longer work on them.
• Five-attachment legacy builds. Each legacy base weapon gets a five-attachment version, unlockable through the Armory. Legacy blueprints keep their existing attachment setups.
• An MW4-led meta. Activision says the goal is a weapon meta “distinctly rooted in Modern Warfare 4”, with Raven Software balancing weapons every two weeks.

Is Warzone ending on PS4 and Xbox One?

Yes. In the same support article, Activision lists a three-stage shutdown for Warzone on PS4 and Xbox One:

Activision also says Warzone stays playable on these consoles “through the end of Season 06 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7”. Read together, the two statements point to the same moment: the end of Black Ops 7 Season 6 and the start of MW4 Season 1. Does your Warzone progress carry over?

Yes, as long as you sign in with the same linked Activision account. Activision says your full progression and content bought with COD Points carry over to PS5, Xbox Series X|S or PC.

COD Points themselves work differently. They are tied to the platform account, so unspent points from a PS4 move to a PS5, and points from an Xbox One move to an Xbox Series X|S. They do not move across console families.

What to do before MW4 hits Warzone

• Level your MW4 weapons now. Activision wants the Season 1 meta to be built around MW4 weapons, so the guns you level in MW4 Multiplayer are the ones that matter. Our list of MW4 weapon unlock levels shows when each one opens.
• Move off last-gen. If you play Warzone on PS4 or Xbox One, link your Activision account and move to a current console or PC before November 6.

Will Black Ops 7 weapons still work in Warzone?

Yes. They move to the Legacy tab as five-attachment versions, and your BO7 blueprints keep their attachment setups. Gunsmith does not work on legacy weapons.

Can I hide old Operators in Warzone?

Mostly. From Season 1, the Operator Skin toggle shows other players' Operators from older games as MW4 Operators. Your own equipped Operator stays as it is. The toggle is off by default.

Do my old weapon camos work in Warzone after MW4 Season 1?

No. Activision corrected its post to say weapon camos from MWII, MWIII, BO6 and BO7 will not be available. Operators, skins and blueprints stay.

Can I still play Warzone on PS4 after November 6?

No. Activision says Warzone is no longer playable on PS4 and Xbox One from MW4 Season 1.

Is there a new Warzone map in Season 1?

Not confirmed. Activision had not announced Season 1 Warzone maps as of October 25, 2026.
