MW4 Season 1 adds three 6v6 maps on November 6, 2026: Backstab, a snowy war-torn town; Canyon, a desert gorge with a river and a central mesa; and Shoot House, the classic three-lane map rebuilt in North Korea. Ministry and Overflow follow at mid-season, with more maps still unnamed. Kill Block also gets a fixed “Crash” layout.
Everything below comes from Activision’s Season 1 announcement of October 28. New maps mean new camo and weapon XP grinds, and our MW4 boosting page covers both if you would rather not start from scratch.

MW4 Multiplayer Mastery CamosMultiplayer mastery camos, for players who want the grind done before the new maps rotate in.From $199.99View offerBackstab: snowy town with long streets and open buildings
Backstab is a brand-new medium map set in a snow-covered, war-torn town with abandoned tanks in the streets. Activision describes two ways to play it: long sightlines down the streets, or closer fights inside the open buildings.
- Vantage points named by Activision: the roof of the Stronghold House, and the upper floors of the Sniper House, Grandpa’s House and the Destroyed Building.
- Flanks: blasted walls across the map open extra routes.
- Cover: use the buildings and outer walls to cut down the long street sightlines.

Canyon: desert gorge with a river, cliff path and central mesa
Canyon is a brand-new medium map in sun-scorched terrain, boxed in by tall rock walls. It mixes wide open ground with large natural barriers, so Activision warns about getting caught in the open without cover.
- River: runs near the site of the Convoy Ambush.
- Cliff Path: a winding route along the rock walls.
- Cave and Abandoned Shack: the northern Cave leads to a shack where players can ambush anyone passing.
- High ground: small shelves and platforms you can climb, plus the central Mesa, which sees toward both ends of the map.

Shoot House: the classic three-lane map, now in North Korea
Shoot House returns with the same layout veterans will know, rebuilt with MW4’s movement and combat systems and moved to North Korea under light snowfall.
- South lane: the Junkyard.
- Middle lane: tunnels leading toward the Center.
- North lane: over and around the Containers.
- Power positions: the overhead Hospital and Apartment.
The lanes connect at many points, so you can switch routes mid-fight. Activision has not said whether a 24/7 Shoot House playlist is planned.

Kill Block: Crash, a fixed layout for Season 1
Kill Block is MW4’s modular map. In the new featured “Crash” combo, all three slabs stay the same and do not change between rounds, with a downed helicopter in the middle. Infinity Ward picked these three slabs from the most popular combinations in the MW4 Beta. Because the layout is fixed, Crash is also being added to other Core Multiplayer playlists, including Search and Destroy.

Ministry and Overflow: mid-season maps
Two more maps are named for the Season 1 Reloaded update:
- Ministry: fighting in and around an embassy damaged during a Global Peace Summit.
- Overflow: a factory and the farmland around it, with a convoy of mobile rocket launchers firing in the distance.
Activision says more [CLASSIFIED] maps will be revealed in the Season 1 Reloaded posts. No mid-season date has been given.

Which modes come with the Season 1 maps?
